If my Volprof intuition is correct, and it often is, I say yesterday's monumental overstep on the immigrant ban (and the ensuing airport fiascos worldwide, as if the move wasn't planned out at all) that will be tempered by the courts was timed intentionally to coincide with this move, which was the day's far bigger (and far more alarming) news story.

This way no media will talk about it now and will only give it casual lip service a week from now when tempers subside over yesterday's EO.

Trump is a buffoon who at least understands branding and nothing more, but Bannon is an evil genius. Flynn, meanwhile, is nothing more than a lunatic Kremlin stooge who has delusions of being an American patriot.

I think we will both agree the refugee/migrant EO is part of the admin's long game. The left doesn't even realize they are being played right now. They think by marching on airports and disrupting them they are accomplishing something. Days and weeks from now the only thing middle America will remember is that President Trump to action to ban "terrorists" and that was opposed by liberal protesters and lawyers. The more the left acts insane and obstructionists the more it helps Trump in 2020. It is like the Democratic party is there own worst enemy lately.

With that said, I don't know if that is Trump's decision or a plan formulated by the populist/nationalist wing of the White House in Bannon/Miller.

Yea they will remember the 86 year old lady who was handcuffed to a wheelchair, the detaining of American citizens, cancer doctors, neurosurgeons, and college professors, vetted interpreters who received Special Immigrant Visas yet the U.S. still tried to turn them away. and the fact that the EO was halted on the first day by 3 federal judges who were appointed by 3 different Presidents. Not only that but that There was zero planning or organization behind the roll out of the EO. It was chaos from start to now and Trump I think believes he can govern through chaos.

Bannon, the self-described Leninist, pushes Trump for his optimal chaos-creation so that we will all be distracted as our rights are going out the door and the state is being destroyed and remade in Bannon's image.

In Trump, Bannon, a truly smart individual, saw the "wrecking ball" necessary for destroying and recreating a twenty-first-century America oversaturated with stupid TV and Facebook.
