The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

what is the shipping and handling cost ? that you have paid ?

I know that is where they make there money,I'm in Tn close to 50 mile give or take north of Knoxville,if your in this neck of the great woods lol

I will get out next week and do some serious shopping for a revolver Hopefully

and does it matter what name brand to use at the lower prices ?

the revolver may be carried ,hidden at times,it will be mostly for home defense,I may get a concealed license not sure about that yet

SGAmmo is really good on the shipping. Generally a flat rate for UPS. I checked my old orders and even with the bulk ammo purchases it never went over $15.

Recent build. Still needs glass and few other things.

7.62
Aero upper, lower and 15" rail
Anderson 18" barrel
AAC brake/flash suppress
AXTS charge handle

I'm thinking about a 7.62 build. My fear has been general operation/feeding issues that I've read about in the 7.62/AR platform. Let us know how she performs.

Nice.

Is that the Vltor A5 system?

I'm in SC, unfortunately. I've already lined up a buyer as well. Thanks for the interest, though!

I love my wife's, great Lil pistols, I want one now. Or a P938.

Academy had an option only sold there. It was Fd green with extended mag and the hogue (if I remember correctly it's hogue) grip enhancer for 500$
Shoulda woulda coulda

Just curious if anyone has a guess as to when we might see the hearing protection act passed? Is this something that will most likely take weeks, months, or years. I've researched it and haven't found an opinion from anyone.

The hearing protection act has been introduced in each house. As of yesterday, HR 367 has 93 co-sponsors. S 59 only has 4. The senate is pretty bogged down in confirmation hearings so I would look for the house bill to advance more rapidly.

There was also a White Paper submitted to the administration by Ronald Turk, Associate Deputy Director, ATF with deregulation of "silencers" as a recommendation.

I doubt you see much movement in the next month or so but I do think you will see it advance before the year is over.

Here is link to the white Paper :

I want the SBR and SBS portions removed as well.

But I'm greedy.

Those rules do nothing to increase public safety. We have many years of statistics to support that fact.

I'd like to see them removed also but I don't think there is enough passion to see it happen any time soon.

That looks...extremely reasonable for something the ATF would come up with. Maybe I'm wrong, but I wonder about the veracity.

It's real. There are some good people at ATF that want to spend their time pursuing criminals and not waist time and resources on regulations that do nothing to improve public safety and inconvenience law abiding citizens.

eta: When the Hearing Protection Act does advance, watch for testimony from Ronald Turk. The Hearing Protection act and his testimony could quite possibly be a catylist for some of the other things you want to see.

Hell of a concept, isn't it?

Being that it's the ATF and they could lose funding/manpower over such things, I'd be shocked if anything else gets pulled.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Turk being the Chief or whatever the highest position is over there. Being that Don Junior's deal is removal of the suppressor portion of the NFA34, this could be a political move by Mister Turk to position himself to get noticed by the powers that be and elevate himself into a nicer office.

Sounds like if you have a tax stamp pending, you'll get your $200 back now too if the bill passes. I am waiting right now for mine.

Thomas Brandon has been an acting director since 2015. If you read the white paper fully, you'll see that Turk suggests that a confirmed Director is needed. This is a bold move to get Brandon out of the way.

I've been given no indication that loss of funding is a concern. They don't have the manpower to investigate 1000's of gun related crimes already.

So you're thinking less than six months?
