Florida loses a commit to Nebraska? Ouch.
UF fell to 31st overall in the 247 Composite rankings and 35th using just 247's rankings.
IMO, our recruiting class is nothing special, but UF's recruiting class is not looking too good. Pretty sure they can't take the numbers we can, but I'd argue they are losing just as much if not more production than UT next year. Not a good time to have a poor showing in recruiting.

Our recruiting now is down, but it's not as bad as the composite makes it seem. We have around 10 4* on rivals, and I think somewhere between 10-15 of our recruits are 4* on at least one service.
This is the definition of a wait and see class. We have some studs and lots of players with potential. Like JacketVol has been saying, I would rather take 4 and 5* lineman and fill the class with 3* skill players around then than the opposite.
Hmmm. That is interesting. I have always thought the opposite. 5 star linemen usually still need a year to adjust to SEC play. There are plenty of examples of 3 star OL that have developed into great players. I think linemen are the hardest for the services to grade. To me, I like 4 and 5 star skill players. But that's an interesting point of view.

The Gatas also lost Kai-Leon Herbert, one of their top remaining prospects, who committed to Miami yesterday. He stated he was set to commit to UF this weekend on his visit, but the UF's failure to hire an OL coach scared him off.
They are in meltdown mode on the Gator message boards. Sounds like a lot of the top instate recruits are not hearing from UF all that much.
Haven't kept up with who has declared but their entire D was junior and seniors. I expect a significant step back on defense.
