Byrd is one of the best athletes on the team, and if the staff comes to their senses and puts him on defense where he belongs, we'll have a lockdown corner. Most of the OL recruits look to be very athletic and strong, and should be good players.
JG and Warrior will both be starters from here on out barring injury. Osborne is going to be very good. Buchanan and B. Johnson are both great finds as well. It's a good class.
So in your estimation literally the whole class is garbage? And Kongbo is going to be more than a "nice contributor" imo. He just needs refined, but he's getting there. It is undeniable that he has 5* athletic ability.
No disagreement on Byrd. The others could be stars, or they could be nothing more than role players. I'm as hopeful as anyone on JG but don't anoint QBs until I see them in live action.

hatlol. Did I say "the whole class is garbage?" Any other strawmen arguments you want to put forward, or is everyone on this board PMS'ing today?
I hope you are right about Kongbo. And outside of looking good with his shirt off and being able to talk a lot of smack on Instagram, Kongbo hasn't shown anything close to 5 star talent on the field. If we stayed healthy he would have hardly seen the field this year.
hat
I really thought that was your opinion...sorry. It sounded like you were saying that outside of those three players that the class sucks. I think Kongbo showed a ton of athletic ability, and absolutely no refinement. I mean his get off was slow as molasses for example, that is technique that can be taught. The man is huge, really fast, and can jump really high. Those are things that can not be taught.
My opinion is this class is full of question marks. More than in previous classes, because that's where we are as a program right now. A bit of a question mark. It could have probably been Jones' best class yet, quite frankly, if we had the season we were supposed to have at a minimum in 2016, but we didn't, and this is where we are.
Time will tell, but you usually don't hit on 100% of 2 and 3 star players. You're lucky if you hit on a few of them.
As for Kongbo, yeah I'll just leave that be. He didn't do much on the field against pretty weak competition. We'll see what he does next year.

Well we will see. I hope I'm right. All of the big question marks I had in this class were dumped. I feel better about this class than I did, and I believe it could be another class like class years. There are some really badly underrated players in this class.
I forgot some.
We aren't getting (fill in the blank) recruit.
Butch only hires his buddies to coach.
He gone. (Any recruit still being recruited by us)
I'm ok with this class, especially if we finish with 2-3 big names we are in on. I agree that most of the fat has been trimmed, to the point that I hope we can fit a couple "big fish" in without losing anyone else.
Imo Butler, Reid, Labruzza, Crosby..... Guys like that are legit.
