The Trump Lie Running Tally Thread

When Obama was president, he told numerous lies. The red line, keep your doctor. We can debate whether they were intentional until the cows come home, but there is little point in that now.

So in this thread, for the next four years, we will keep a running tally of lies we categorically conclude have been told by Trump. Not arguments, not nuanced policy things. Outright fabrications.

And we begin with

# 1 The Russians were not behind the hacking, and he has proof.

This is categorically a lie. No question about it. Objectively, he lied when he said that.

Things like build a wall? Too soon to know. Mexico will pay for it? That gets closer, but he's trying to create some wiggle room now by adding in the "later." So we will have to wait and see.

So as of today, January 12, 2017, we know for a fact it is one lie. I will revisit this thread over the next four years, and we will keep a tally.

That's ambitious thinking. It won't last 4 years.

"We had the largest audience in the history of inaugurations." Lol

The latest one is:
"I know I truly won the popular vote but millions of illegal immigrants cost me the vote". Lol

This guy is an effin pathetic joke. He WON, he needs to STFU about it. He continues to make himself look more and more like an absolute fool every day.

Jill Steins recount uncovered voter fraud in Detroit. Michigan is auditing their vote.

You didn't care but you lord and savior Donald trump pushed that **** for years.....he's so smart. Wants Obama to release his transcripts and birth certificate but won't release his tax returns.....

Great job twisting facts hombre. He told Greta that he would advise Mitt to do so bc Mitt began talking about what percent he was paying. He thought Mitt needed to from a strategic perspecive. He never demanded or criticized Mitt about it.

To see why there are more registered voters than people in Detroit.

Fact check: No proof in story of mass voter fraud in Michigan

More registered voters than people? Can't find that anywhere. A little help?

When people move to a different precinct, move out of state, or die, their names are often left on the rolls of their old precinct. I think 99.99% of the time, it is just a clerical issue. Trump may need to add some regulations to clean this up. Many times, things will not be made right until proper government regulation. Hopefully Trump will be wise enough to give us all of the new regulations needed. Go Trump!!!

Trump (On his speech at the CIA)

I got a standing ovation. In fact, they said it was the biggest standing ovation since Peyton Manning had won the Super Bowl and they said it was equal. I got a standing ovation. It lasted for a long period of time. What you do is take -- take out your tape -- you probably ran it live. I know when I do good speeches. I know when I do bad speeches. That speech was a total home run. They loved it.

Bernard Langer came out and said he didn't talk to trump and was never in line to vote, he never called Trump to tell him this. He said he was told about the voting thing from a friend and he told someone else who told someone who had access to the WH....so it's 6-degrees of Bernard Langer for Mr Trump

He also never told the people at the speech to sit. They all stood when he walked in the room and were never told to sit down. I guess technically he received a standing ovation but really there wasn't much of a choice

Lie # 3 :

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...riffs-group/?tid=sm_fb&utm_term=.2c175617b81a

Here are Trump’s exact words to the sheriffs:

“And yet the murder rate in our country is the highest it’s been in 47 years. I used to use that, I’d say that in a speech and everybody was surprised. Because the press (gestures to reporters) doesn’t tell it like it is. It wasn’t to their advantage to say that. But the murder rate is the highest it’s been in, I guess, 45 to 47 years.”

The actual fact is that the murder rate is pretty close to its LOWEST in 50 years.

According to Carol Lee of the Wall Street Journal who filed a pool report: “At one point POTUS said the country’s murder rate is highest it’s been in 45-47 years. He singled out Chicago. He said Chicago is worse than some places in Middle East where there are wars going on.”
The country’s murder rate is not the highest it’s been in 40 years. It is almost at its lowest point, actually, according to the FBI, which gathers up statistics every year from police departments around the country.
The murder rate is defined as the number of murders and non-negligent homicides per 100,000 residents. Beginning in 1957, when the rate was 4.0 murders per 100,000 residents, the rate rose steadily to a high of 10.2 in 1980. It then steadily dropped, to 7.4 in 1996, to 6.1 in 2006, to 4.4 in 2014. It went up in 2015 to 4.9. But that is less than half the murder rate of 1980, while the population has risen from 226 million in 1980 to 321 million in 2015.

Oh, and in b4 "alternative facts" crowd defends his lie today.

The lowest murder rate might depend on where you live. Chicago had more murders last year that NYC and LA combined. The heartland of the country has a lower murder rate than the urban centers of the country.

Yeah....not really an arbitrary number there hoss. Chicago's numbers are already equated into the total, so that point is moot.

Also, the urban centers of the country harbor roughly 75% of the entire population so naturally, there will be more crime there. Pretty basic math.

Not only was his statement completely false, he took the further step of claiming the media was not doing its job because they had continually failed to report it. We are seeing something unique here. I'm getting the impression that the media is going to rise to the occasion and call Trump out every chance they get.

Worth a watch.
