If you promise to leave, I will gladly copy and paste your rant on occasion. You and a few others clearly believe we need to hear the same argument over and over. I'd be glad to consolidate your efforts and serve as proxy. Sample post:

"Butch sucks. His staff sucks. BSIA my ass. Our recruits suck. Our AD/BOT sucks. Our offense sucks - even though it was one of the most successful in program history. Our defense sucks. Injuries don't matter. Our fans suck - if they don't agree with me. I'm right; you're wrong."

I think that should cover it. Anything I miss?

Did you look at his resume? As the OC at USF and NCST he helped coach them into the top 25 on several occasions. Just because UNT and Utah State haven't been winners with him on staff doesn't mean he can't coach QBS.

I really don't know what else to tell a few of you that think it could have been anything else other than Scott/Canales. That has zero reflection on whether they get the job done or not. They may be good enough for UT to win a NC for all we know on here. If you know how the bunch running things that have the money work, you know they are not going to throw even more good money after potentially bad money already obligated. That potentially tied his hands for getting a Matt Canada or such. More than likely he did not have that as an option because he is on a short leash.

Butch received no extension. The coaching community knows he underperformed and many accomplished prospects will not trust their futures to him surviving. Warren did because he needs SEC on his resume and because he is in high demand. Rock did because he is in his 60's, was out of a job, and got a multi-year at good comp. Many in the national and local media trash Butch as we know. The coaching community knows he botched the S&C. They know the fan base is agitated. They know the AD situation is in a mess. They know there is a new Chancellor coming on board from Cincinnati (geez). Butch has responded with decisions and moves before when the fan base and boosters get agitated. Butch knows names from the NFL would generate a positive buzz and managed a few interviews to sidetrack the negativity. He even times the announcement on this to inauguration day. More proof that he is hearing the unrest. Butch has proven for 4 years he will not change any aspect of his O to the point that a couple of talented players have left the program over it along with allowing team disunity to fester. There's more, but there is no point continuing.

None of that says that he cannot still win at a high level. It says, he only trusts his offense his way and he is willing to go down as a HC trusting his offense. If he's right he will win big. If he is wrong he will get canned.

How are we going with the narrative that it was all a sham, Butch only did token interviews, it was always Canales...

Because those are the names 247 and VQ reported?

The same sources that pushed Fair and Barlow for weeks...Then brought up Warren's name maybe half a day before he was hired?

We don't know. One story is just as likely as the other.

I don't remember them bringing up Warren's name until he was hired

Sure I Did. If it was so impressive why has his career gone backwards? And not just backwards but on a free fall.
