Color me impressed after viewing Scott's presser! Very well spoken. You can get an idea how sharp someone is by the way they respond to questions that are unknown to them at the time. Seems like the light is on when he talks..
I imagine this is correct. So much for the "search being a sham" narrative.
lol only if you assume Butch ever actually considered O'Connell. O'Connell getting a job in the NFL and Canales not being Co-OC does nothing to prove that's the case.
You're kidding yourself if you think there was any point Scott/Canales wasn't going to be the move.
How many OCs did Butch interview? How many QB coaches with D1 coaching experience?

Exactly. Butch just controlled the narrative and made it appear he was actually working a field of prospects for the position. He knew the bandwagon and fans that don't follow it would fall for it. It was Scott/Canales early on.
So you are saying that Butch created the appearance of wanting a different guy and timed his desired hirings with the announcement of that other guy, just to appease the fans? This also includes putting off the announcement of his OC (That we all knew was happening) for a while.
Instead of believing that Butch just missed on his first choice and thus immediately named his B option.
Ever heard of Occam's Razor?

We have known Scott was going to be the OC since very early. There was no misleading with that.
The only reason Butch would hold off so long on naming Scott OC was because he was using the Co-OC tag to entice a different QB coach.
If you think that the announcements of O'Connell as the Redskins' QB coach and Scott/ Canales to the UT positions that happened within hours of each other had no connection, you are the the one that is kidding their self.
I am liking Scott as OC and glad to finally get a QB coach. How good Canales is going to be? Time will tell but I will say this, its not easy to stay in the coaching business as long as he has. So lets see what happens.
