If Malone didn't leave, I would think it's possible. I think he stays at WR now.
We just need Martin to grow up and Gaulden, Buchanan, or Osborne to lock up the other spot.
I think Byrd is definitely more suited for CB. As a receiver he looked a bit timid, almost like he didn't like getting hit. Its different being hit than hitting someone. Think he could be a special player at CB.
Most don't understand how IMG works. Most of the kids aren't there 3-4 years being developed. They are recruited there after they are already good to tell the truth.
IMG is a professional campus for either elite athletes or very rich kids that have parents that refuse to believe their kids aren't elite.
IMG has better facilities than 90% of college programs in every sport they back. They pay their coaches an extreme amount and pull athletes from all over the world.
There is no recruiting needed for IMG. Elite athletes apply there and if selected go on scholarships.
A better gauge for evaluating Weinke is his year at LA.
It's funny that Bruin knows so much about GAs and QC coaches, yet he doesn't know that's GAs are paid. Firstly, you get a waiver for tuition, which means no tuition fees. Well then you can argue that's not pay, it gets better. Most, almost all at big schools, will then get free on-campus housing and free meal plans. Still not paid? Well then, at schools like Tennessee you will also get a 10-25K stipend per year, some even make more. I've seen D-III schools offer 15K, so who knows how much they actually make at Tennessee.
It's not assistant coach money, but to say these guys are "nonpaid" as you described it Bruin is just completely false. Graduate assistants could theoretically manage to have a a 15K car, free UT clothes to wear everyday (polos, coaches jackets, etc) which most of us here would dream to have, the best on campus housing, the best on campus meal plan, and 10K or more left over for extra food, laptop, going out, etc? It's really not that bad of a life lol. That's assuming they get 25K, which is likely low. Not to mention free grad school from UT?
