Yeah, I'm sure it's a different system now. She's been out there almost since she graduated from college. I'm thinking around 30 years.

It's vastly different from what people like my Dad and your wife had. Everybody being a contractor has changed a lot.

That said, it's far from awful compared to a lot of places.

My spouse is a UTB employee. Was Lockeed Martin, Then Martin Marietta, now UTB. I think that was the progression.

Switch the first two and you've got it. They merged to form Lockheed Martin.

Oh yeah, she's on the gravy train. My dad worked for the MM/Lockheed and spent some time with DOE in house. The benefits they used to have were insane.

this thread has gone off onto a pointless tangent...

The only time I sit to pee is when I wake up in the early hours of the morning still drunk from game day but I don't want to fall(main reason), miss or wake my wife up even though I flush the toilet. 😕

It's not nearly as good as it used to be. Her boss who just retired had like two months of vacation stored up. He would leave for like a month.

We had a family friend that did something like that. He pretty much quit working Mondays for almost a year.

I was thrilled when I got my 3rd week of PTO.

The old guys just laughed. They had vacation, sick leave, and all sorts of other time off I'm forgetting.

I'm pretty sure the conversation about farting dogs was more entertaining than this tangent.

Dogs fart without meaning to. Cats are straight vindictive cropdusters

My wife is a vet tech and we order Royal Canin food online for our dogs. They still "beef" but not enough to burn off your nose hairs.

Anyone know anything about foot pain? I was doing squats at the Y earlier and noticed my calf was straining more than it had any reason to be for a set, and now the top midsection of my foot hurts. I realize my technique most likely wasn't set right.

Ya gotta keep that head up to keep the weight balanced and not too far forward may have contributed?

Now that I think about it I probably was leaning forward. was getting tired so I was pretty much looking forward/slightly down.

Best thing to do is to soak it in hot water for 5 minutes.
Place an iron over fire.
Empty the tub, fill it with cold water and 30 lbs of ice and soak for 10 minutes.
Get a belt and tighten it around your leg just above your ankle.
Take a bone saw and cut it off.
Take the iron and press it against the cut and bandage the wound.
Rest up for 24 hours, call 911 and take an ambulance to the ER because you probably botched it but at least you won't have foot pain anymore
