It's more like not going to a work party for a colleague that you don't like very much. No legislation is getting passed at the inauguration. I'm sure Trump would have been at Hilary's inauguration had it gone the other way....

Rick Perry being Trump's pick for Secretary of Energy is all I needed to see to completely and utterly come to the conclusion he has no clue.

Trump wouldn't not have been an elected official of the United States of America if Hillary had won so the comparison is not even close. These Congressmen and Senators are going to have to deal with Trump for the next 4-8 years whether they like it or not. If you go to the work colleague's party and congratulate them, perhaps it earns you a little good will to get your ideas heard. If you pout in the corner and send out e-mails about how you aren't going to their stupid party then why would they think you have anything meaningful to contribute to the success of the company? They are spoiled brats pitching a hissy fit and that is all there is to it.

Some of his picks have me scratching my head and others I am very excited about. He has some establishment type folks that everyone recognizes but he went outside the box on things like education, defense, and HLS. I like those picks in particular.

the gross incompetence of the Perry pick overshadows everything.

Even the thought that he will be my de facto boss is enough to start looking for another job.

We can only hope. Believe me coming from Texas I saw how much of a bumbling crooked idiot he is. He will have us selling nukes to North Korea for nutria fur coats by Valentines Day.

Perry is the ultimate goober. Loyal voting Republican here and I voted for him ONCE. He started selling 10 year old girls out to his benefactor drug company with that HPPV vaccine mess and cashed out with the NTTA contract. Hoped he'd take his ill-gotten multimillions and go vegetate...no such luck. :no:

Not to mention what he did to the Colorado River from Austin to the coast. Pretty much destroyed the economy of a whole region of the state so he could line his pockets with Austin developer money. POS.

Pac12 not doing Southern Cal, a team whom will be pre-season top 5 next year, any favors with their schedule... they didn't give them a bye week at all the whole season.
