Injuries played a huge part in all three phases of the team. ST was definitely missing Berry and Kamara. Overall the ST play wasn't bad. I don't know if it was Elder's doing or if the injuries were just to much but the return blocking and coverage teams just looked a little worse than the previous year. Again, I think ST was good and even had some great moments in 2016 so don't read too much into my position.

I thought ST was still good as well. The biggest area in which they fell short was discipline. Too many big penalties and mistakes. That goes for the whole team though. Until this year, discipline was a CBJ strong point. Hopefully last year was an outlier.

Final 247 5* Rankings updated list. 247 has to fill their narrative of having 32 5 star recruits to match the 32 picks in the NFL draft.

#32- Dylan Moses (Bama)
#31- Marvin Wilson (LSU, FSU or USF)
#30- Aubrey Solomon (Michigan, Bama or UGA)
#29- Devonta Smith (LSU, Bama or Miami)
#28- Colby Parkinson (Stanford)
#27- Robert Barnes (Oklahoma)
#26- Donovan Peoples-Jones (Michigan)
#25- Calvin Ashley (Auburn)
#24- Henry Ruggs (new #1 WR- likely Bama)
#23- Jacoby Stevens (LSU)
#22- Tua Tagovailoa (Bama)
#21- Austin Jackson (Probably SC)
#20- Josh Kaindoh (Florida State)
#19- David Mills (Stanford)
#18- Tadarian Moultry (Auburn)
#17- Richard Lecounte III (Georgia)
#16- Shaun Wade (Ohio State)
#15- Labryan Ray (Very likely Bama)
#14- Jay Tuefele (Utah or Ohio State)
#13- Marlon Tuipulotu (Washington)
#12- Jeffery Okudah (Ohio State)
#11- K'Lavon Chaisson (Biggest riser- LSU or Texas)
#10- Barron Browning (Ohio State)
#9- Najee Harris (Bama)
#8- Foster Sarrell (Stanford)
#7- Cam Akers (Florida State)
#6- AJ Epenesa (Iowa)
#5- Trey Smith (Tennessee)
#4- Chase Young (Ohio State)
#3- Alex Leatherwood (Bama)
#2- Jaelen Phillips (UCLA)
#1- Walker Little (Stanford)

Interesting to note Ty Chandler didn't get his fifth and Trey Smith stayed put at no.5.

Also interesting, Dylan Moses (Bama) dropped all the way down to 32 but keeps his 5 star status. If Bama closes with Ruggs, Devonta, Ray and Solomon then they finish with 8 - 5* recruits.

Is it a coincedence that UT commits just never get any respect?

Man I get cam Akers is a 5* but that high? Guy has never played the position he's projected at, how do you say he's ranked that high? Great athlete but to me top 10 means immediate, elite contribution and I think Akers has to actually learn to play rb before he's a contributes at a 5* level.

Also, David shaw is killing it. 4 5*? That's beyond Harbaugh level when he was at Stanford isn't it? Shoot that's better than Harbaugh now, as far as 5* commits.

Also, really surprised to see no Clemson commits on that list.

RB is all about the natural instincts and ability. He has that

It is the only uniting hire that could have been made. No one is against it inside the building.

Fulmer loves UT. And he loves football.

We all wanted an AD who would put football first. Well this is your guy.

And from a booster perspective he is fantastic.

The entire state and conference respect him.

It is a terrific hire. I never thought it was actually possible but like I said they got this right.

Agree. I thought Blackburn would be good. But ... you can't always get what you want, sometimes you get what you need.

Berry wasn't even getting any chances early on either. Teams avoided kicking to him.

And he rode the bench for 2 years 😭😭😭😭😭

Makes him more attractive IMO and didn't really ride bench he was in game a lot. Just didn't dial his number up enough. It probably works in his favor though. NFL teams don't want alotnof hits on a guy his size

I will wait and see what happens. We all know how good "inside" info is on this site (sorry Freak) and others.

Also people were well aware they needed to be prepared for our return games. We put everyone on notice the year before. It's crazy how good Berry is at KR. if I am an NFL team I'm picking him up just for that skill alone. The difference between him returning kicks and the rest was drastic.

I would like to see Callaway or Martin get a shot with him if teams want to avoid him. Martin looked like he could be an elite returner when he came out of Juco. We all saw what Callaway could do. If he isn't PR next year Butch should be arrested

I'm ready to see Martin under this new coach personally. All the tools are there for sure.

Good luck to Phil finding a table at the Copper Cellar lol.

Seems to me like jimmy still gets spoonfed from time to time. Usually weekdays an hour or two before his show starts.

Clearly Brice and Hyams have different sources on this one. Although there are quite a few others saying Fulmer is close to done too so not just Brice.

At same time, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if TN/Butch have began to feed 247 bad info because of the Haney article to make them look bad. It sure does seem like there is usually a Hyams/Hubbs or price comment the next day that contradicts the info
