'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

I know, I know, another bump to this thread!?!?

But I am just sharing some new info about his grade concern. His ACT score has improved and he now might not have to go JUCO. Being admitted to Clemson is most likely not an issue at this point. His hurdle will be the NCAA Clearinghouse.

Improved how much? Is it like an 8 to a 20? I don't know his original score or the most recent. Clearing house will be all over him if it's a big jump.

What's most annoying is that they actually think Dabo runs a clean, "Christian" program.

Dabo is a good dude. Christians like money and winning too. At same time that the type of stuff they probably had to do in the beginning. Once you start winning at the level he is now you don't have to do it as much besides special circumstances

It was a 13, which was acceptable to Clemson. But now it's a 14, which puts him in the 75th percentile of incoming freshmen. :)

Until someone doesn't get what their buddy did

Speaks big of Tee, I saw him last night at a middle school basketball game. I told him his shirt was very ugly. ( it was a Clemson shirt)

He'll answer to a higher power for his sins of paying players and winning games. That's what helps me go to sleep at night.

Giving recruits money might be against NCAA rules but I didn't realize it was a sin..

Saw pictures. Sad amount of people in Clemson gear at the game. Disappointed in Oak Ridge. I hope some of you all are there decked out in Tennessee gear.

I just don't get it. Can't understand why he is going there, but oh well, to each his own

I have a good idea why Higgins is going to Clemson. They win 10 games every year, they just won a national championship, and they have been putting WRs in the NFL at a steady pace lately. They have had back to back QBs throw for over 10,000 yards. Dobbs had around 7,100 in his career. They use their WRs effectively and develop them for the NFL. I know we claim WRU and we have a great history, but Clemson is kicking our butt right now. They take about anybody they want from us.

Meanwhile on Rocky Top...

Well, a lot of that is true. It's also true that we're the in state school, Butch has recruited at a high level and got many of the top in state players since he has been here, he's going to put a receiver in the league in Malone this year, another when JJ is ready, and the passing game got a lot better this season and will be even better going forward. They did win a national championship, they also only play 2 games a year in their regular season that are tough games. I understand the appeal of Clemson, I also understand that he's 20 minutes from Neyland stadium and could have been a hometown legend

Yes I know, you do not have to sell me. I would have committed to Tennessee as a new born baby. I was just being devils advocate and stating the reality that some of these kids think nowadays. I hope we take a big step forward in the passing game under JG or QD. I like being a powerful running team, but I also like to be balanced so when something is not working we do not become one dimensional.
