lots of really strong opinions on how to run an athletic dept. from a bunch of people who have never come close to helping make upper level administrative hires at a college or university.

The football program is mired in mediocrity with no signs of improvement coming soon.

The basketball team is horrendous and painful to watch with a coach who routinely throws players under the bus and often loosingle misstep.ks disinterested.

The women's team lost to a team tonigh t they had beaten 28 straight times. 28!!! The new AD needs to fire Warlick as his first course of business. She is just awful.

The AD search is a joke and we look like damn buffoons.

Not a single flaw.

Nicely done.

Gov Haslam and the state legislature needs to step in and fire everyone at UTK in upper level management including the newest hire that hasn't even fully taken over yet.

Entire new Admin and BoT.

Gov Haslam needs to appoint a board of only Southern people from the academic area and sports areas to hire a new BoT and all new people in the Admin and it MUST be made clear that top priority s that ALL sports at UTK be build back up to Championship levels to make the fans happy and to keep the $$$$ rolling in.

Wherever people see U of Tennessee they should instantly think of sports that always competes for Championships along with top level education.

Top education is very important but so is our sports teams and the entire AD.

We must have excellent education to offer top sports prospects and a AD who's known far and wide as always competing hard for Championships.

This complete BS that's going on now is NOT even close to acceptable especially for so much $$$$ we're paying these top bozos!

VFL...GBO!!!

Speak for yourself. Circa 2004 I sat in a room where this very matter was discussed (not at this school) and the agenda went like this:

1) Student Athletic Graduation Rate, Academic Progress
2) Current Year Conference and NCAA results
3) Trend Line

Since UT finished last among SEC schools in the Fall Athletic Directors Cup we can be pretty confident at least a majority of sports have failed at #2 and #3.

Did you know Brian Noland, yes the Brian Noland currently serving as President of ETSU, admired throughout higher education in the state and southeast, that Brian Noland that politely told Joe DeP to stick the chancellor position where the sun doesn't shine, received both his BA and MA from West Virginia University. Small world.

While you are at it why don't you re-register yourself for this site but add cuck to your name. Since that seems to adequately describe your current situation.

You don't have to be the jockey to know who won the race.

Agree but I get a good laugh reading the useless post.

That less than a decade ago this Athletic program had Phillip Fulmer, Pat Summitt, and Bruce Pearl as the head coaches of its three (3) major sports and look at what we have now.

We still have softball season. It's the one thing we are still pretty good at

I hear there are a few good chess players on campus, so if it can become a scholarship sport, things can get better in a hurry.
