Larry Scott at OC might be what everyone secretly wants

Not necessarily. They don't have to make a public statement (which would be extremely stupid) for it to still be true.

I don't know where some of the posters here got their info from. Really don't care.

I'm pretty confident in both of mine.

Would it be that big of a stretch that Jones or Barnes wants a guy they have already worked with?

I would think as well since he was/is the chosen one by this AD who actually hired them both. LWS is a reliable source.

i've never refuted this. agree actually. but by the same measure, is it a big stretch that info posted on a message board is indeed not fact and based on speculation. so lets not run with either until we get some cold hard facts. i'm a pretty logical guy so facts change my mind, not opinions. just saying

No not at all.
The whole thing is weird.

As someone who has called plays as a high school oc, Let me say the most important thing about being successful is believing in your system. Knowing what you have will work against what the defense does. You have to be able to get what you want by formation and then just take the play the defense gives you. Defenses always give you something. Can you take advantage of it. The good ones can, the not so good ones get fired.

You make it sound simple when it's not. At all

lolol i loved how you glossed over his first sentence about calling plays in high school. unless your coaching experience trumps his, i'd say he'd knows more about it than you do :lolabove:

Been around it my whole life. I don't discredit his experience but I know how difficult it can be.

He's never called a play
Expecting it to be smooth and perfect is crazy

and neither have you so your opinion of how smooth is should go is moot point. again you already believe scott is not the right hire for oc so any situation you look at, you look at through the lenses of that existing bias.

If you are prepared and have done your work it is easy. I give you a formation, you put your defense out there and then I exploit what you give me based on how you line up. If your end is wide, I run off tackle. If your end plays tight, I run outside. Football is a very easy game. Calling plays is easy when you do your homework.

So the East isn't a crap shoot?

Noted.

My point is you can't say the East is weak to support your arguement that Butch sucks, and then say the SEC is some other animal to call plays in.

News flash: Outside of Bama, the SEC is trash.

You keep saying Georgia will improve next year. No way that's happening, it's only Smart's second year as a head coach.

See my point? You and some of your people like to pick arguements; set double standards.

Just sayin

There is plenty of BS posted here and on every message board. Enough that when something legit is posted it's met with plenty of skepticism.

What I posted was not my opinion. I don't really have one on the matter.
I ll run with what I was told. You can wait for someone else to speak on it if you like. That's the beauty of it.

I don't believe he is as do a lot of people.
It's not right or wrong.

I wasn't wanting to argue. I just wanted to give a little perspective on it because I have been there and done that. Good day.
