Hubbs this Morning

All of this discussion sounds like Butch has no interest in going outside the box and hiring a more dynamic guy to run the offense.

He'll do that on defense, since that isn't his domain, but since he considers the offense to be his baby he only wants people he can fully control there.

But he handcuffs Shoop over and over with crap for assistants

Butch gonna Butch

Bone headed decisions run rampant

Do you wake up every morning excited to critique Butch's every single move?

There are 3 things for certain in life...taxes, death, and Dudleys87 in every single thread bashing Butch's every single move no matter what it is.

News flash: Everything is speculation so far, yet you're already bashing Butch for a move he hasn't even made yet...in every thread smh.

He's too stubborn and that will ultimately cost him his job at Tennessee.

Being stubborn is a horrible character flaw. My issue is not that the offense is not good. My issue is staying in house and not bringing in a a new perspective. The offense needs an aggressive play caller. Football is an aggressive sport. You have to be aggressive on both offense and defense. I am not familiar with Scott's time at UM, so I can not say. At least it is not looking like it will be CZA.

So it's not ok as a fan to want the best for Tennessee football? You really think keeping it in house is what's best for Tennessee when the same staff couldn't beat Vandy or SC one of which came off a bye. Please. Pardon me if I don't jump for joy for safe hires.

Butch is losing all his selling points and going outside the program to bring in new blood would do great things. Not the same stagnant group on O.

If Scott is promoted, would Azzani see that as a smack in the face and start looking elsewhere?

Imagine if Butch had stayed in house and promoted Martinez, who in turn had that horrible defense at the end of the year. Butch at least lessened critique of the himself by going out and hiring what was a considered a good hire for DC.

Now Butch hires in house and the offense stinks it up next year. Who's going to be taking the blame for that?

I haven't seen Butch quoted as saying Scott and Azanni are the leading candidates. Hubbs is just speculating.

If anyone knows anything wouldn't it be safe to say it's Hubbs?

Its just like Butch to make a move like this.
Save the Shoop argument there was more to it than just a firing I'm certain

It was the same thing with Les Miles which cost him his job.

Dabo and Saban (funny they're both in the NC game again) aren't afraid to get the best coordinators possible.

Meanwhile, 'ol Butch hires a guy who was most recently a swim coach and will now likely go with someone who's never been an OC before.

No, we're not allowed to be critical of the head coach. You got to slurp up everything he says and talk about how great of a job he's doing.

Butch cannot hire from within. He's got to get a big name. Look at Saban...he doesn't hire oc from within. Most coaches don't. Get a big name
