Opinions and philosophies can not be proven true or false.
A LOT of reaching here.

Depth chart
Kongbo fifa game
F them all ro refs
Field goal chart
Doesnt discuss injuries, proceeds to discuss injuries

And on and on and on dude says things nobody believes are true not bashing him, just they way it is

Or the dumbest coach in America, right? Butch didn't seem to think we needed a QB coach and Dobbs had a career year. Which is it Carl? All you Butch lovers calling me dumb/stupid have essentially just said the same about your beloved coach.

Oh snap! :)

So do a lot of posters on this board and most have already figured it out.

Another brilliant post. Its okay not to admit it so you can do the honorable thing and be loyal to the coach at all cost, I get it, but what I said is true and we ALL know it

Why is everyone obsessed with getting a QB coach/developer? Dobbs had one of the best years ever at UT and the #1 dual threat QB in last year's class sure didn't seem to mind that we didn't have one.

Surely this is a troll job.

I wasn't singling you out..... my comment was based on all the speculation about the new OC, the ridiculous names being thrown out and etc.....I'm surprised someone hasn't already suggested Bill Walsh....

When has Butch surprised anyone. The year he hired Debord. Debord was the first guy he saw. And, then last year I think Shoop was the first guy he interviewed. I think most people are saying Helfrich because of Helfrich being in Nashville. More than likely that's who it's going to be. Jmo

Butch said a lot of same things like 'we are building something special here', 'our system works' etc .. etc .. However few things he said could point towards his direction for new OC.

He said he wants to enhance the system and not overhaul it and also said he wants people to know this is a destination job. Which all but points to the fact that names like Helfrich or any other big shot candidate are out the door.
Helfrich will bring his own (Kelly's) system which has worked well and he is not coming here for destination job. He is a clear 'journey man' who most likely be here for a year or two.
Butch did send a conflicting message to the previous one saying 'new OC must be great QB developer'. Neither of his internal candidates are even remotely QB guys. Both Azzanni and Scott have sucked at personnel development in their respective spots. So that sentence seemed like he was pointing towards Helfrich or similar name.

It is hard to get read on Butch as he is so scripted and never says things clearly.

Offensive coordinator is not a destination job. It's a stepping stone to(or back to) head coach.

Normally I don't pay a lot of attention to the VN dissections of Butch's every blurt, but this depresses me.

Saban's coordinators come and go. It's the nature of the job. Does Butch think there's something different here?

Maybe he was speaking in reaction to Debord's short tenure?

This fan base sincerely needs to prepare for Scott and Azzani being named Co OCs

Love your moniker by the way. I see you're reasoning on Scott and Azzani, but I've looked at their Bios and neither have any experience as a QB coach. Scott coached just about everything else on the offense but QB. Azzani has been a passing game coordinator but I don't think that's exactly the same as QB coach. Who knows though, maybe one or both could end up being the greatest OC in our school's history. Still hope we get one that 's proven it somewhere else. Need a bigger name for recruiting IMNSHO.

Those guys are in his comfort zone and will be yes men for him, thats my reasoning. Plus UT will not make the popular big name hire.

A great HC surrounds himself with great coaching minds. Dabo has gotten Clemson to an elite status by doing that. Butch is about to make the hire of his TN coaching life.

Exactly....this will be a make or break hire. He can not afford to hire an unproven commodity for OC. He needs someone that is proven. So that crosses out both Scott and Azzanni.

Here a great idea, everybody stop reading to much into every word that Butch says and just enjoy life. They (UT Staff and admin) will take care of our beloved football program....and I've got breaking news, we fans will never figure out what the crap is goin on without our LWS and GFW etc,etc and we sure can't Influence the decisions made!!
