Debord to Indiana as OC

Helfrich in at OC. Defense struggles, but JG is the second coming, Butch is fired after losing to Scar again, Helfrich becomes interim HC, promoted to full time HC, goes undefeated in 2018, Saban quits after Ty Chandler runs him over, meteor hits UGA vs FL game, Vols go on to win playoffs for next 10+ years, hell freezes over.

The End.

Which mood elevators are you taking? I think I need to get mine changed.

Oh well. Can we at least get an OC that can coach a QB to work under center in those 3rd and 1 situations?

Of course, this assumes we get an OC that can get 9 yards with 2 downs.

Or maybe he changed out the DC when he did because he knew the offense would be powerful enough to carry the season while the new defensive system went through growing pains? Now, he feels like next season the defense will come around and carry the offense as it goes through their transition. That means everything falls into place in 2018! NC in 2018!

Is that how it's done, posivols?

Except Butch can't afford to struggle next year. He does, he is gone. After you use your DC as a scapegoat, then you lose your OC to Indiana, no one else to blame. He has to hit a homerun here to save his job. My only concern with Helfrich is which offense does he run? His or Butch's?

It was clear with Debora he ran The CBJ offense. He has to let Helfrich run his style BUT anyone who has watched Oregons offense, it needs the horses to run it (more speed than power). It might also struggle to get it implemented in the first year. This screams Fulmer hiring Clawson. Clawsons offense works but he needs personnel and more than one year. So will Helfrich. Be patient if he is hired.

Then that isn't Helfrich and any DC hates that offense lol.

Martin has already shown he's not coming here for a lateral move. Also, Butch isn't leaving on his own in 3-5 years, so either he's still here doing well or he's fired and the new coach replaces Martin with his guy. Zero chance he's hired in as any sort of coach in waiting.

For real. Dude just won the Rose Bowl. He ain't coming short of tripling his salary. I'm not sure doubling it gets him as he points to his wife's career is best out there.

Butch did say that it would take 7 years to be a contender.

Anthony Lynn, Buffalo Bills. Media feels the HC job at Buffalo is his to lose. He's acting interim since Rex Ryan was fired. Has the Bills leading the NFL in rushing. May not be able to get along with GM over issues involving Tyrod Taylor and may be wanting out. This is a sure-fire well liked up and coming OC with HC potential. I hope UT interviews him. Ask Peyton M. Also prefers a simplified playbook.

The only thing this does is give Butch one more built in excuse to win 7 games next year. We will have a very new OC and it will take time to build a winning OC. Some BS line like that.

True. Offense was just totally anemic this year. 2nd rated offense in the weak and beggarly SEC. Nothing but a 3 and out party. Pretty good eye ya got there. :eek:hmy:

Nick Sheridan is leaving to CMU as well

Rivals: I know Austin mentioned this on Friday morning, but it got lost in the gameday stuff. But I have confirmed it again today with another source that Nick Sheridan is leaving. Sheridan has gotten a full time position at Central Michigan.

I will make one prediction and that is no matter who the new Coordinator is at least half the board will hate him.

I have already seen a couple of post questioning hiring Helfrich,so you know it's coming. It doesn't matter who it is they hire.
As long as the person can coach QBs,keep the chains moving and put points on the boatd,I don't care who it is. Just gonna wait and see how it plays out.

Show me where I did that.

Obviously you failed to understand my post.

You, me, and everyone can say whatever the hell we want. There aren't but a few if that who know anything and they're still wrong too so what difference does it make?

It's what I think will happened based on history with Butch. Nothing more nothing less

His wife hasn't had a hit or been relevant in the music business in about 15 years. She could continue to try and resurrect her career anywhere. Tee is just pleasing his wife and letting her chase her dreams again

If that is so,then kudos to Tee. I would make that choice without hesitation for my wife. Wives of coaches sacrifice a lot for their husbands' careers.

In every game except Alabama, our offense scored enough to win if we hadn't lost most of our D to injuries.
