I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand I'm optimistic and then on the other I'm a little concerned with what CBJ will do. Debord wasn't terrible.

Dude getting out of crazy town. Maybe it was Debord that said, "F*** all of them?"

Why would any coach choose Indiana football over the great tradition at UT?

....because the decision to not bring him back was made after the Vandy game.

Not sure Debord was the issue. I think the issue is a paranoid, micromanaging HC. The same HC who refused to play Dobbs his first 2 seasons until he had no choice. Maybe I'm wrong.

Going out on a limb here and saying it probably wasn't his choice on leaving.

Very surprised that he is leaving for another school.

Not really. If Butch was insisting that a OC/QB coach be brought in, that would lead to a demotion of Debord to OL or at best, co OC. Either way it's perceived as a demotion. Debord obviously wasn't ready to retire so he took the opportunity to make a lateral move. The question is will Butch be able to fill the OC job with someone as good or better than Debord?

Seems Butch has finally decided to cut ties with his buddies and do what it takes to win. Hopefully he allows the new OC to have complete control of the offense
