Reality of 2016 Season

If he deserved to be fired, I'd have no issue letting him go. But it's beyond idiotic to think he should even remotely be close to being fired.

You defend the indefensible in the losses to USCe and Vandy this year. In fact, you've gone out of your way to defend every bad coaching decision that he's made. Every loss that was a direct result of poor game day coaching, and poor team preparation. .

In your eyes, I don't think there is anything CBJ could do to warrant being fired as long as the Vols are above .500 and make it to a trash bowl every year. You are a true champion of mediocrity, with your "better than Dooley" standards of football.

You will be heartbroken in the end though, because I can assure you that Butch Jones will be fired from University of Tennessee football program.

I think you misunderstood the question. Read it again. I wasn't asking about us against any one team. We played several games under those circumstances.
The question is if we were playing a team and they were missing those players how would you feel about our chances of winning?

So you framed a question around UT's circumstances, (that weren't hypothetical) to ask a hypothetical question that I assume was geared toward getting the answer "yes we would expect to beat a team with those circumstances" (you can correct that if thats off) only to later say that you expected UT to win against SC and Vandy under those circumstances.

Did I miss anything?

It depends on who is filling in for those injured players. There are more than 22 players on a team.

Line makers set a line that will draw bets in. Period. They adjust the line as the $ comes in.

The line is set to get equal amounts bet on each team. When it skews one way the line gets shifted the other way. That's how it works. The line settled around 10 for UT vs. Neb.

To hear you say it, UT would have struggled against Lenoir City.

I'll give you $1000 if you can show where I said we should've lost to either team. Come on. Show us all.

It's implied by your op. We should just all be thankful to be competitive with all those injuries. I mean, it's not like we should expect our 2nd and 3rd teamers be ready to play right?

how about a healthy team.....extremely lucky to beat appy.

injuries didn't cost us the sc and vandy games. sorry

cbj is also 2-2 against vandy and 0-3 against Muschamp.

what were the excuses for blowing double digit leads last yr again?

Reader- it's simple. we had no business losing to vandy ( and really USCe) even with the injuries!

Losing to a good to great team with the injuries is understandable (like bama and Tex a/m)

Why is it people that aren't real vols fans always have vol in their screen name:)

Why would I not be a vol fan when I said losing to vandy is unacceptable?
I think every vol fan should agree with that.
Do explain

Just a joke to go with the posivol narrative that either you agree that CBJ is great and all loses were due to injuries or you are not a real vols fan and its been pointed out several times that all "those" people have vol in their screen name.

Apparently there is no middle ground, you are either to one extreme or the other.
You are not allowed to criticise CBJ. You are supposed to be appreciative of all he has done for us in four years or shut up. I'll forgive you this time since you didnt get the memo, but you have been warned:)

I suppose a "real" fan should be happy losing to a crap vandy team that was destroyed in a crap bowl game to finish our " this is our year" season.

I must be of very little fandom then, as I can NEVER accept losing to vandy

Edit- I apologize as I missed your sarcasm in the first post

You're wrong on so many levels. Show me where I've defended the losses to Vandy or SC.
Also, I understand game day decisions and the impact they have. When critics of his decision is warranted I say nothing. When they're wrong (most of what you type) I correct those false statements.

It's implied if you're not very bright I suppose.

The only way you could make that assumption is if you're mentally challenged.
