My Titans wish list takes into account the org really likes the upside of Byard at S and I understand why. He's a S that's good at picks and can also light 'em up. Bring in EB and we are swinging for the fences. Add Barnett, Williams or equivalent (Sutton, Ross, etc) at WR and any two of about ten top CB's (strong group). If they can't get EB, they may have to grab a S with upside at 1/2. I also want Cam because of D and PR. If there is a really good FA G available, they are still a little soft there depending on how they feel Tretola is coming along. Add a LB with upside at 4/5 and add another WR late like Sharpe that can hold his own as a rookie. This draft and FA signings could set this team up for a nice run in the playoffs for years.

We are definitely on the same page here. I have confidence in Robinson getting it right.

Tretola looked BAD in the preseason in pass pro. Hopefully he has the feet to keep getting better there.

during the 4th qtr of the mcb, the build up to barnett's sack was awesome. he was so close every play, every play. i was on the edge of my seat freaking out, the left tackle was wiffing, holding, false starting. the qb was worse than him. i havent been that pumped when he got it in a long time i went nuts. there was no denying how special it was and that i was witnessing a truly special and beloved vfl making history.

Same here. I agree - Tretola stunk it up then. They will have to make a decision on him. Kelly is a good multi-position back-up, but he's not the permanent answer at G. Two many pockets collapsed from the inside and not enough push on runs at times from who they have if they plan to be elite on the line.

They hit a home run with Robinson.

Their RT was even worse. When he flipped to that side I told my son "he's getting the record right here". We were pumped too. I've never seen anything like that celebration happen during a game.

I don't like tabor because of his mouth and that he went to Florida but I wouldn't be too mad at the titans getting him unless that means they passed on barnett

Too bad we didn't draft Warford from K instead of Warmack a few years ago. At 5 I hope we take best available or trade back. I think our needs right now are:

CB (multiple)
Deep threat WR
OG
ILB

But I would take Barnett at 5 in a heartbeat, need position or not

Why should he be? OL is one of the areas where we see player development and improvement. Considering the fact that the players rave about Playing for Mahoney, I'm not so sure it's because of Debord either. And for clarification sake, I'm in the "Why get rid of Debord?" camp as well.

Well considering the standards most around here have for a "home run hire," you're probably right.

But I think Blackburn could make a very good hire who is a good fit at Tennessee. And fits are really important.

The longer Butch has been the coach here, the more I've felt like culturally, he isn't the best fit in Knoxville. I don't mean that as a knock on Butch so much as just an observation of how much more quickly he seems to be losing the support around him than Dooley did even though he's obviously far, far superior to Dooley in everything except press conferences.
