Chip Kelly to be fired

how could we be talking about firing a guy who took over a dumpster fire and has won 9 games the last two years.

lets all grow up!

It's called he's peaked at 9 wins. He had a playoff caliber team and couldn't get into the championship game. Let's start thinking about playoffs.

Ahhh, grammar nazi, I corrected it for you... And no, I didn't take it personal.. Why would i?

eye dont no. :). You didn't "take" it...you ISSUED. But calling him an "idiot" and doubling up with the redundant "special" made it so. Maybe posts that you disagree with, brings out the rage in you? :aggressive:

"Fulmer or Butch" would be an interesting thread. Seems like it'd be hard to call the people who choose Fulmer "negavols"

Not an issue. They were out in full force then also. Read gripes RIGHT AFTER the NC. This would be more the hypothetical "which Vols coach do you hate MORE?" :)

I'm saying there wouldn't be the same element of, "if you don't choose Butch, you hate UT" that there would be with, say, Butch vs. Harbaugh

Yes there would be. It was there with Majors as well - just didn't have social media to put it out there day after day.

There is and always has been a set of fans that will never ever be happy with any coach. And those fans throw out "the hot flavor of the day coach" until that "hot flavor" loses then they move on to the next or they call for Gruden or some other person who has no desire whatsoever to coach at Tennessee.

Playoff caliber according to whom? Intelligent people take into account extenuating circumstances. Fools act as if injuries don't matter.

I don't hate Jones at all and haven't seen many posters that have stated they hate him. What I and some other posters do is question Jones which translates to hatred in the minds of a certain group of people.

He's had injury problems every year he's been here. Almost every user on here said this team was playoff caliber. Nobody took in the account of the HC being who he is and dropping the ball.

That doesn't address what I was responding to.

I was happy with Kiffin until he bolted into the night.

Did you have issue with those that wanted to replace Johnny with Phil?

I didn't. I was screaming WITH them.

I was probably indifferent at the time. Phil was a good assistant coach but was a question at the time as a HC.

I asked the question more in line with another question that was asked earlier that was missed.
