That was not the narrative going into the season but ok.
It was not the narrative because no one wanted to face reality. Media looks at skill positions, but football is won on the line of scrimmage. Hall was injured in Fall practice and Thomas got hurt week of Appy State. Everyone was saying that losing Hall was not a big deal. Well it was a big deal.
It's funny how people perceive things differently. I remember everyone being very concerned about Hall's injury and saying that's one of the positions we could least afford an injury.

His bricks have been lain for several years now. He's just a tad bit past that stage.Interesting that in his post game statements Saban distanced his current roster from last years saying something to the effect that we are focused on the opportunities that this team has created for itself. Does not sound like a brick layer.
On Bamas 68 yard TD.
Me: Got away with a hold there.
Bama fan: y'all just say that cause we're good.
Me: Actually there's some statistics out there to back up that Bama gets away with more holds than any team in the SEC.
Bama fan: RoWwaawwlLll TYDDDE.
Why is that always their ****ing comeback when they have nothing to say. It kills me.
Agree on absolutes but imo it's hard to imagine a scenario where he's 8-4 and loses the east and we retain him.
He burned up his equity in 2015 (OU, UF) and 2016 (SC, VU). He is being given 2016 to get it done. This will be his first team with 100% his players and the senior class is the 2014 class.
