We're losing most of our offensive and defensive production, we're breaking in a new and unknown QB and the 16 and 17 recruiting classes have trended downward. We could go 7-5 in 2017.

No were not. just Barnett. 7-5? Jesus... then we are losing our coach for 2018 too.

He's seen the QBs, Oc hasn't retired or been fired and if you're afraid of injury, why play Jr year?

He played his junior year to make himself money, don't think he would have been drafted off his fresh and soph year production. As for the other two, both are wait and see which are if's.

Malone should leave. Great season and will be a combine freak.

Possible 2nd day player I've seen thrown around

And he could make a substantial amount more in next years draft if he continues to develop to go in the late 1st to 3rd

I have a feeling he impresses the scouts.

He'll need a really good pro day. There's so few plays on his tape where he really showcases the type of athlete he is.

I think if he came back and worked on some little technique things he could be a 1-3 round pick next year.

Ideally he'd have more film of him attacking the ball in the air and utilizing his frame more.

Can't blame him for trying to go get paid though.

Exactly. It's not rocket surgery.

In the event he doesn't develop more, he won't make it in the nfl anyways. He's not a finished product right now.

His stock is high right now. Just put up a great season and has very good measureables.

He can work on becoming a finished product as he's making 6 figures on an NFL roster next year.

Real money is the second contact regardless. If he's good enough he'll get paid either way, but he'll get there faster leaving this year. No way I come back if I'm him with a new QB and and probably OC.

Exactly where I have it. Another 9-4 would be worthy of an extension to Butch IMO. Anything better than that he needs to make bank.

Hope to be pleasantly surprised. The positives for doing better are I think the O-line will dominate next season if our play calling reflects it. I think Chandler can be worked into it with Kelly early. Still have talent at WR and TE, so a simpler passing game could still work despite the QB inexperience. The healing of D players will help along with a full conversion to Shoop's scheme. That can be huge because opponents will not be able to get a handle on it until later in the season. ST should be strong with all the experience coming back.

Hiring a big time S&C guy is mandatory.

Meh, you've got an offseason to prep for GA Tech. Fear that game all you want, I'm looking forward to it. Big stage, ridiculous new stadium. Sign me up.

As it sits now, there's waaaaay too many variables to try to take a guess at it.

I will say Bama is the only team everyone should fear. Every other SEC team is a coin flip at best. For every strong point, there's a glaring weakness.
