I was going to say 11-12 wins. It will be tough but any road win in the SEC is great. Got our first one tonight.

Need to win 12 and take a couple in the SEC tourney, or 11 and then 3 in the tourney. A top 25 win would help, which would probably be UK or UF. If they are even a bubble team - they get in. How well they played the better teams early along with Rick Barnes as their coach gets them in the dance IMO.

Really fun to watch. Barnes is a great coach.

Mullen isn't immune to head scratching losses, but I think he's good for about one less than Butch per year.

I've been pleasantly surprised so far.

Wonder if he would consider moving to more of an "advisory" role similar to what has been hinted about stripling? Wasn't that floated a few weeks back? Would be great imo.

I'm sure he's going to be CO-OC/ OL with Helfrich for a year or two and then bow out.

My take on Helfrich, Hoke, and Fair is that they can only help because if Butch wins 8 games a season he is going nowhere with the administration that's in place and active boosters at UT. They are not seeking elite football status. As long as they get 90,000+ going to the games they are good with whatever.

It is incredibly difficult to win at MSU.

No doubt. If Butch is a consistent 8 win guy here, I think Mullen would be a consistent 9 win guy with a better chance of winning 10+ every 2-3 years. Not sure Butch will ever win 10 regular season games here.

Probably right but I would much rather turn the play calling over to Helfrich (if he is hired lol) hire a top OL coach and let Debord focus on game planning, etc.
