It gets crazy every year after the dead period and names always pop up... this year will be no different.

But, I doubt it will be largely because of Hoke, Fair, or Helfrich if those are the coaching changes. It would likely be due to the current staff.

I don't see how getting those coaches would attract a big fish this year. Who are they recruiting currently that they would be able to attract to UT? If they come on in early January, that gives them only a month to even try to sway a top recruit. Larry Scott's situation was just different from any of these guys.

Brady Hoke was Rutger Reitmaier's recruiter, but he's already signed scholarship papers to Oregon, so I would think he would stick there. Not really a big fish either. Helfrich would possibly help with Yankoff, but he's a 2018 guy.

Don't see Fairs recruits at CSU traveling in these circles.

RR would be one of our higher rated recruits at a position of major need.

Any thoughts on the game tomorrow? Predictions? Will our defense be prepared and are they capable of stopping Nebraska?

Any chance that the staff saves this class with a late flurry like last year? I thought that late flurry last year was a troubling sign (i.e., it shouldn't be that hard) but would gladly take it this year.

We need something positive. A good 20+ point win would be helpful.

Then follow that up with a Blackburn hire and then a couple staff upgrades. Then the "2-3 big fish" Brice was referring to.

Let's do it

Doubt it. We'll have to count on Nebraska shooting themselves in the foot (which they tend to not do) and we will also need to count on us not shooting ourselves in the foot (which we tend to do).

34-27 Nebraska
