I think AOL or Prodigy may have a work around. Recommend an Alta Vista search for a GeoCities website.

Win 7 issue...Find your DOS prompt... type in delete *.*
I did that once and well... most of my issues went away.

the windows update

I have had one of my high end computers in storage since 2012 and decided to fire it up last Saturday and run in to the same thing mule. Was hoping a free update to 10 was available but didn't see one and haven't had time to mess with it since.

Not quite. You can still do it, but you have to be using the assistive tools method. It's a work around.

I still have Windows 7 on my laptop. Is it worth it to upgrade to 10? I'm probably going to get a new one in the next 6 months and I'm not having any issues...that I know of. So should I just leave well enough alone?

Windows 10 works much better on newer tech. Keep what you have, and make the jump when you get a new one. :hi:
