Tee Martin didn't have any intentions of being our WR coach either iirc. And Tee got a raise out of that meeting with Butch Jones.

That deal wasn't all on Butch Jones. Tee's hands aren't clean either.

If what LA is saying is true, then UT offered him a raise at UT (even though it was low balled). Not sure I quite understand that. The cost of living in Knoxville is much less, so even a slight raise of 20-30k turns into much more.

I appreciated what Tee did for UT, and I would welcome him back at some point. But I got bad vibes from him from that situation, too. His comments about Hurd didn't help his perception either, regardless of how it transpired. Hurd was not soft on the football field either.

There were so many moving parts at the time. It was also rumored that his wife did not want to leave LA. I don't think it was ever going to happen, and both were just kind of playing the game. I still don't get why that turned Amari against Butch.

Not really.

Clemson is at our level when it comes to composite recruiting rank over the last 4 years.

Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, and LSU are really the only teams loaded with 4 and 5 stars.

OK, so 2 of the 4 are loaded and Clemson has a **** ton of them...Any more dumb comments. Sorry but you are wrong again, recruiting 4 and 5 star talent matters in college unless you.play in the pac10

I'm not as against that comment anymore like I was when it originally happened. I mean honestly, he turned out to be right IMO. Quitting on your teammates is soft. On the field he wasn't soft, but you can make the argument that he was off of the field.

Really hope this guy commits, especially after volital said he heard positive info on the process. I'd hate for him to get thrown under the bus by some posters if this guy goes elsewhere....He's a good poster

This.

Folks just want to look at one side. Tee Martin used his Alma Mater and the publicity he knew the whole incident would generate for his personal gain as well.

Three sides to every story folks.

Did you ever consider that Amari was looking forward to his Dad being closer and then when it didn't happen, it was much easier for Dad/Son to blame Coach Jones than to accept the reality that said Dad did not really want to leave LA?

Happens all the time in life.

Edited to add: I am not an insider so don't know the truth - but this is just so common for separated families where one parent is far away and happy with being far away.

From what I've heard Tee Martin doesn't want to be closer to Knoxville.

Ray on the 25th? Would be an epic three day stretch.

Volatil said Ray was committing on the 25th? I've got to get over to that thread and spread the good news.
