Democrats before:

"Must find way to ensure our election process is protected and Trump accepts the election results".

Democrats after:
"Must find way to ensure election process that has already been completed stops Trump from taking office"..

Final tally shows Trump lost popular vote by 2.8 million | Daily Mail Online

interesting article. trumps popular votes outside of NY and Cal. this is why our founding fathers established the electorals.

What stupid logic. Are people from California or New York not American? More Americans voted against Trump, I don't see how you can honestly spin it any other way.

Edit: Other than "liberals in California and New York shouldn't control us flyover state folk"

Trump did not run a popular vote campaign, he ran an electoral campaign hence spent his last weeks in blue states. If it had been a popular vote campaign he would have buried Hillary with a much different strategy. Trump wins either way.

What a load of ****. As if he was going to convince the millions of liberals in New York or California to vote for him?

Many don't share American ideas and instead have anti-American ways of thought. They also tend to be low-information voters. There needs to be a mandatory requirement that all voters have to pass a high school level civics test before they are allowed to vote.

Lets abolish the senate while we're at it. Rhode Island has just as much control over the senate as California, and that's hogwash!

I don't know what your definition of "American" is, and I agree completely that education should be required to vote. But you are aware that would help the Democratic Party correct? I understand many conservatives consider liberals "stupid" for voting in Obama, but I'm sure you all are aware by now that the democrat electorate on average have received greater education than the republican electorate.

In theory it is hogwash for a state with 1/38th of the population to have the same influence in the country, but I am not going to oppose that, primarily because The House of Representatives is population based and does balance this.

You can make this exact argument for a huge chunk of Texans and almost every trailer park in the south.

Both sides have a ****load of low-information voters. However, it's funny you use "anti-american" right before you propose citizens having to earn their most basic American right through a test.

Come on, Dave. Come. On.

20,000 degrees in Feminine Studies really helps with that average

I agree with you that we should start using tests for voters, prepared for by free civics education courses - on site or in-person.

However, I do not think you would like the results of this.

Also, most Californians and New Yorkers aren't social justice warriors.

Didn't Trump win the college educated vote?

I have an Economics degree from U.T., and know many people, both with and without college degrees. I am not prepared to say that a college degree necessarily makes one smarter.

It's there just like the Senate, to give each state it's own individual say. That it's turned into rural vs urban is incidental even if it's relevant now.

People do tend to forget that many things in our governments founding was to give power to the states.
