I agree but is wasn't just one booster. Like I said he wanted their money and didn't want to grant much access. I agree it wasn't all about pissing off boosters but that was some part of it. He wasn't liked a whole lot amongst many boosters.

Yep. The delay in firing Dooley and the ensuing coaching search burned bridges. Boosters were willing to pool together millions to bring in an elite coach, and Hart completely cut them off. He bragged about his connections and hiring experience, then failed to produce. He's been a divisive presence for a long time.

Dare I say it- Gruden?

You can move Chromecast very easily

Roku comes with a very small box for the remote. Like not even noticable it's a small. Has one extra cord to unplug so not as easy to move as Chromecast.. Which you literally just unplug and move

There is a Roku that does the same...I have 3 of them.

Well, the Rams are talking about making Gruden the highest paid coach in America. Let's see if he can refuse.

The one thing that made sense was that Hart fired Dooley with a week left in the regular season. Therefore, he had an early start to hiring a coach. The Gruden rumors were fast and furious while Hart was doing nothing. That is what led me to believe the rumors. Then, in early December (about 2 weeks later), Gruden denies it, and Hart starts the interview process. If Hart knew he wasn't going to hire Gruden, why didn't he start right away?

There was an "insider" on the Scout Board who was convinced he was coming. He was raked over the coals when it did not happen. He had been very reliable until this situation. I think that there were many big money people who thought it was happening. I am talking about the Gruden situation.

Well this makes sense, thanks for the info!

If he were to come back that would be the situation to come back to. At this point, i probably wouldn't hire him if I was an NFL team. Been out of coaching too long. Then again he has had plenty of study time watching every team and their mistakes so he may come out swinging.

LWS on the whole Hyams Ad in February Tweet

my sources still say soon. might be week after bowl game. But Jimmy's sources are pretty good and in the AD saying February. I like mine and do think Butch will have a boss when he starts making changes.

There may not be staff changes until after NSD. People are not sure when CBJ is thinking of doing anything.. three schools of thought, after bowl game, during coaching convention or after NSD.

Butch and DB have spoken. they might have a plan already. not to worry

Hart had no intention of firing Dooley... and if Dooley hadn't lost to Vandy, he would've been back a 4th year. Hart thought even Dooley could manage to beat the Dores and save UT from a costly buyout. So Hart was caught offguard.

The hotline to Gruden went through UT boosters. Hart was boasting about bringing in Jimbo Fisher or Mike Gundy. Charlie Strong was Hart's fallback, but he was really selling Fisher, who flat-out played Hart to sweeten his contract at FSU. Then Strong spurned UT after Hart flew to Louisville to wrap the deal and make the announcement. It created a very embarrassing situation for UT-- and Hart was front and center.

I don't quite understand not firing Dooley until losing to Vandy. That loss could be seen a mile away.

I was rooting for us to beat Missouri the week before because I knew we would make a bowl and fire Dooley in the same year, which seemed like the best of both worlds.

The Scout positional, state, regional, national and team rankings for the Class of 2017... - Football Recruiting - Scout

Looks to me like Scout has their commitments all screwed up & are behind on many others. :eek:hmy:

Uh, this was four years ago. I liked the writing at Scout and it started out as Gridscape and it had a lot of very long time, very good posters. I do think that they have lost a lot in the last couple of years, which is why I came on over to the Light side here at VN.

I was rooting for us to win every game that year, even after I started losing faith in Dooley. I'm not sure I understand the thinking of pulling against the team just because I may want a coaching change.

It seems to me that what will happen will happen in terms of wins/losses. If the coach is truly bad, he'll lose regardless of my rooting interests (Dooley). If he's actually pretty good, he'll get things turned around and finish strong (Cuonzo Martin, anyone?).

All things considered, I'd just rather the Vols won every game whoever the coach is.

100% correct.

Which is why Blackburn has to be the AD. There is no other choice. He knows where the bones are buried in all this and more. Helps neutralize the truly stupid people that bankroll the program and their cronies in positions of power at UT. Time to clean it up for the long term good.

This is what we're looking at.
There are easy tutorials to download it and then put on the videos and TV shows. It is worth it trust me, the amount of money it saves by watching movies at home and not liking then instead of sitting in a theater is worth it alone
