These are Brice's comments from last night regarding Hyams' tweet about the hire potentially going into February:

Have spoken with four different people today, some on capitol hill in Nashville, who do not at all agree w/ that timeline & believe that assertion is wrongly based off of Davenport's intro comments last week, bc she comes online FT in Feb. but also begins receiving some compensation now.

While I am told the once-desired timeline of before Christmas no longer is likely, I continue to be told January and sooner than later are the expectations.

"I expect & I certainly hope it's wrapped up before then."

I knew Davenport met first w Gilbert as much for convenience as anything. Blackburn has been hiring a football coach.

Brice further stated:

Again, I know one person on campus who told three people yesterday he believed it was going to be February. I've talked to a number of people today who do not concur with that timeline, including folks either indirectly or directly involved with this process. I don't know anyone who believes it makes sense for UT to operate on that timeline.

More from Brice on the AD hire from last night (for those worried about potentially hiring Gilbert):

I've had between 3-5 power-brokers indicate to me that the Gilbert simply makes zero sense b/c he is Blackburn of years ago, except having the tinge of Dave Hart and Donnie Tyndall's hiring. So, again, those are things that UT leaders have expressed they want to distance themselves from.

I bought one a year or so ago and it sucks. Not sure if it's the location as I haven't bothered to try it on another tv yet since I have Apple TV and Xbox one on other two TVs. It could be my direct tv wireless bridge is interfering with it but I got a feeling it just sucks. My Apple TV and Xbox one are great on streaming. If I buy anything else it will be a box and not a stick. I can see why so cheap now lol

It's all but done, but you know how things can get drawn out, and the AD delay has something to do with it as well. Anyways, Butch has got Fred Hahn lined up!!! Fred's explosive methods of training create top notch athletes. He's taken "time under tension" to a whole new level, never seen before, and I, for one, cannot WAIT to see what he does with the team next year. I've heard he actually had a big hand in the S&C from a distance last year, but I don't think we had time to see his methods fully develop into what it's going to be by next season.

I have not used the fire stick. Sorry

Would recommend the other two though. Just depends on preference.

I did buy the Roku plus+ for 39.99.. not sure the specifications on the fire stick but the Roku plus is better than the basic Roku.

You can move Chromecast very easily

Roku comes with a very small box for the remote. Like not even noticable it's a small. Has one extra cord to unplug so not as easy to move as Chromecast.. Which you literally just unplug and move
