Our DL class will be solid. I'm not sure we pull Ray. It's unfortunate that this class is not deep at DT like the previous couple of years considering out situation there. I'm not a big fan of playing Philips and Kongbo at DT in our typical 4-3 sets.

I'd assume those 2 will be heavily in the DE rotation next year along with Taylor.

Not so much the question, but Clay's response is just another d-bag move by a guy who continues to prove to be a d-bag.

Still, not sure why media guys think they have to ask these coaches the "are you gonna take another job" question to try and either make them lie or tip their hand.

Come on man, this is literally 100% of radio hosts. No comment is the universal phrase for "yes but I want plausible deniability."

If you're not prepared to answer a question like that with something better than a weak attempt at "pleading the 5th" then don't get on radio. I hate CT, but even I think you guys are blowing this way out of proportion.

So it's not the question, it's some issue you have with Clay Travis.

Hell, Butch Jones would have handled that question better and he sucks with the media.

It's a layup question that every single coach should be ready for.

I think the consensus is CT can ask that question if he wants. We expect that of the media today. This is more an issue with CT's smart ass response. Hard to defend that move.

I don't think anyone cares that much. Just sharing an opinion.

I'm just over the media in general with this type of crap. The TMZ style of gossip reporting that has taken over sports has worn on me.

I mean you can watch an hour of ESPN and barely see the highlights of the day's games. It's all speculating, hot takes, opinions, controversy and other non sports crap now. That's why little jerks like Travis are relevant. Because they can take a simple interview with a pac12 coach and turn it into a TMZ article.

You must not listen to radio often if you have a problem with that reply. I've heard that so many times from Dan Patrick, Cowherd, local guys, etc...

No argument there. More about athletes personal lives than actual sports related stuff.

Context matters. The person doing the interview also matters. Let's not put those national household names in the same category as CT. I don't blame McIntyre for his response.

Clay is a hack and definitely a big bag of dou***. I agree the response is why Mac hung up on him. I probably would have done the same thing. I don't like Clay but he is good at taking the smallest details and putting them together to support whatever argument or agenda hes pushing. He was just fishing for some website or column hits.
