MTSU basketball team now 10-1 on the year with a road win over Belmont just now.

Crazy stat: Kermit Davis went 153-126 during his first 9 seasons at MTSU for a 54% win percentage.

Since 2011-2012, he's 133-49 with a 73% win percentage. Also has 3 regular season conference titles and one conference tournament title in that time, along with two NCAA tournament appearances and an NIT appearance.

Pretty rare to see a coach stick around the same school for that long and then somehow kick his team into a higher gear out of nowhere.

Just got done watching Matt Canada's press conference. I really like what Canada was saying about maximizing the strength of the players and finding ways to utilize what he has. I wish Butch would have looked at him, because finding ways to utilize what he has in the most effective way has been a big issue for Butch.

Every freakin coach in the history of ever says the same freaking thing. Sometimes they get the formula right sometimes they don't.

Yeah, I know that most coaches say that. I watched a few Pitt games this year and I liked what I saw. What I liked seeing most from the Pitt games was the singleback sets. I miss seeing the quarterback under center on short yardage and goal line sets.

My 8th grade math teacher: Mrs. Head.
Husband's first name : Richard.
And yup , you guessed it, he was called Dick.
Nothing could have been funnier to my eighth grade self. It made all of us s******...(for you Ulysees)

Kid two years ahead of me in school - dad's name was Richard Head. Never understood how parents could do that. Guess it's the Catch 22 Major Major Major Major mentality - just have to have it in for your kid from day one.

Winston isn't a game changer? I don't like the guy but he is definitely a game changer. He won a Heisman, a national title, and is finally blossoming in the NFL pushing the Bucs into playoff contention for the first time since 2007. I do however agree with the rest. There are a couple really good QB's listed like Rosen but idk about a game changer.

Dude should be doing 20 years in a maximum security prison. PERIOD! But that's another story

What kind of bull**** is this Canadian guy talking about here? Go back to Canada, Matt.

Coaching carousel will be interesting next year. Not a lot of strong names out there among the up-and-comers (outside of Fleck) who are still on the market.

Could also see Mike Norvell moving up quickly with another good year at Memphis.

Colorado coach McIntyre just hung up on Clay travis lol.

Clay asked if he received any phone calls on job openings.

coach said no comment

clay said "so that's a yes"

coach said that's a no comment and thanked him for the time and hung up.

lol. what a time to be alive.

What answer can that guy give there? Nothing good can come from asking that question. The guy was nice enough to come onto Clay's show and then Clay does that.

Pretty easy to say "of course I get calls but my agent handles all that and talking about specifics will distract the team from bowl prep."

Pretty easy not to ask a question the guy can't answer. There's not really an answer he can give that won't draw attention to the situation. It's just like when that turd Seth Stokes asked Butch if he punched Crowder. No matter what Butch says the question in itself makes the headlines. "Jones denies punching player" is gonna be the headline the next day. No matter what McIntyre says it's gonna be turned into a headline.

But I guess Clay got to make him squirm so his followers will love it.

Eh. It's a fair initial question and it's not a question that isn't common.

I thought it was a bizarre reaction.

He's media, he'd be accused of not doing his job if he didn't ask that question. I've heard the same from almost every other talk show host I've ever heard. It's OK not to like CT, but don't act all dramatic like this was some rare breach of talk show etiquette never seen in radio history.
