Lol. I have no idea honestly. One is from Jackson, TN and one from Miss. I keep seeing it reported by writers and insiders so I guess they are. A lot of top recruits talk to each other. The whole "best friends" thing just seemed weird.[/QUOTE
"Best" may be a stretch. I know when I was in school my best friend was a kid who I played against from another school so it does happen. It's probably more wishing for me, just hoping we have a little extra going for us. Really would like for us to sign him.. GBO
AK is getting second and some first round buzz. He's gone
He should have given Hurd his Fullback like he did vs Northwestern. Should have used Kamara in the read option and slot more and more touches. Goofy to waste talent. What upsets me most about Butch is that we didn't get to fully enjoy Kamara. We should have told Jalen to kick rocks after last season and let Kamara be the feature back this year. I'll never understand why we bent over backwards to try and get Jalen to stay when we had two other NFL backs on the roster. Especially when Jalen was such a problem in the locker room.
This could not be further from the truth, Mel Kiper just released his draft prediction and have Kamara going into third or fourth rounds. I think staying another year help him move up possibly into the lake second or early third round but given his size I'm not sure he goes earlier than that.
He is getting a 4-5 round grade from Kiper. Thats not definite but it could be enough to convince him to stay. This draft class is deep. I really think if Kamara stayed and had a Hurd like 2015 season, he could easily be a 1-2 round pick.
I think Kiper is right. He whiffed on several blocks last year and that is one area he needs to improve on before going pro. He will be a great pro back ( probably ) , but there are lots of great can't miss backs that never made it. Anything he can do to improve his draft stock is more money for him in case he does get caught up in the logjam. Also have heard from someone that follows the draft closely that there is a little concern over his durability. Kiper is usually right, but a great combine day could put him back up in the first two rounds possibly.

No NFL team is playing Kamara to block...he's a third down/space player. He's got a special skill set with his acceleration and agility...just takes one team to really like him. And for the record, Kiper is terrible at his job.
