Yes, he would have had to potentially kick another one, but I was at a point watching that game that I was convinced Medley would have missed that kick too. So, I didn't have a problem with the call and you could tell Kamara lost track of it being 4th down.

So, changing topic a bit. What does everyone think of our soon to be Chancellor Davenport? Theres some talk on the FF that she has an agenda, but I can't really seem to find anything that would indicate that. Anyone with knowledge of what we should expect? Will she be good or bad for our athletics?

Fair enough. However, if you attempt the field goal, the bolded never has a chance to happen.

At least Butch's first one was to a 9-4 Vandy team with a terrible UT roster with an overturned review that was questionable.

Can't say much about Saturday. As much as people think Butch is trying to walk out the door, Dooley did truly have one foot out the door that year.

Everyone has an agenda :) We just need to know if hers gibes with having a kickass football program. I hope so. I am willing to wait and see. She almost has to be an improvement over Cheek.

Why would it matter if he lost track of the down? He should be trying to get the first down, regardless of what down it was.

IDK what the FF is saying her agenda is, but she's going to cause friction. If anybody expects her to ease into the job, respect tradition or put football anywhere near first, they're going to be disappointed.

Here we thought Shoop was going to be a great hire and he goes and blows it against Vandy year 1. Interested to see who we'll bring in now. Hoping it's Strong.

Be careful what you wish for- I have a feeling Davenport will make us all wish for Cheek to come back. She has already blocked the Blackburn hire supposedly and probably makes Susan Martin look like a conservative. When we hired a woman I felt a feeling of doom sorry but true. I am willing to overlook her IF Blackburn will be hired and she will let him run his department but who the hell knows. She probably is only focused on academics and could care less about football.

My hope is that Blackburn will get the job, but I in no way think that our only path to a great AD runs through him.
