You can't keep Gillespie, what's the new offensive coordinator wants him need to let those guys bring in who they want as part of their team, now he is a damn good coach but you need to let the coordinators pick who they want to work underneath them

I agree, I was just making the point if you keep one, he'd be the one.

best case scenario:

New AD is place prior to Christmas - If he has a good rep then could be attractive to coaches.

Jones walks (doesn't matter before or prior to bowl game) Remember he left Cinn prior to their bowl and Strip was the interim for the game. With his sounds bites, he could convince an AD with his plan (hey it has worked before)

New AD conducts search with new coach in place in mid Jan.
Pool of candidates: Mullen, Fedora, Narduzzi, Macintyre or a up-coming coordinator. With the right hire, could have the best coach in the SECE as the rest have not proven anything yet.

I'll give some thoughts:

1. Butch isn't getting fired. Think of this as the Dooley-Kentucky game.

b. Keep Strip but all other defensive coaches need to update their resume.

iii. The players do have a blame. THEY coughed up turn overs in USCjr and vandy. THEY miss their gaps and get beat. There were plenty of correct concept calls that were not executed well.

Fore. With that said, it's up to coaches to develop.

+ I'm all for Les Miles with Briles as OC and either Shoop as DC. I only like Briles for OC. Not HC.

~ Our losses have one thing in common, the gun went off while we were pointing it at our foot. Our leadership and donors do the same thing. We need to drain the swamp, as it were.

I'm sure he's still hurt, but I was incredibly disappointed in Cam Sutton last night. He looked like he had never played the position before. You have to wonder how much money his performance cost him.

Y'all keep bringing up Cooter. He's never recruited anyone. If you want to go former QB that's a OC you go Tee.

Wrong imo. Offensive Coordinator in the NFL that worked with Manning and now runs a great offense with Detroit. He was a grad assistant in 2007 and 2008 here at Tennessee. Hes 32 and could sell a pro style offense. Young, Tennessee ties, and massive potential imo.

I wouldn't hate Tee either. Strikes me as a guy who would know how to run a program.

Hire assistants that have.

Cruiting is the easier part.

Well Tee is consistently a top recruiter in the nation. SC offense is clicking. Young dynamic offensive minded coach. Wouldn't break my heart.

Mullen would be my number 1

I like the Dantonio idea- not sure how realistic that is.

Miles probably most realistic, easiest transition

Tee would be down the list

And when I think of it that way it leaves me wondering... We all know how this scenario will play out. CBJ is a lame duck and will be gone after the 2017 season anyway.

In order to get this situation reset and moving forward, CBJ needs to be let go because it's very obvious that he has checked out and has lost the majority of the fan base and quite possibly some of the players and potential recruits.

It's obvious that he's not anywhere close to 100%. He didn't forget how to play corner while he was rehabbing. I agree that he may have cost himself money.

I'd like to see what he could do as a head coach in the SEC but unless he just bleeds orange, I don't see how he'd want to leave the NFL and take this on.
