This has been the basis of my argument since yesterday. Am I 100% confident that Butch can take us to the next level to win championships? No. However, he continues to have us on an upward trajectory if we win out, and that increase in wins this year will be in the face of a ton of adversity and injuries...more than we have seen in a long time. With that, should he have the fanbase's full support, and give him the time to adjust his staff some more to get to that level? Absolutely 100%! He deserves that for how far he has brought this program back to relevance.

Wow, 9 pages in the last 24 hours, since I was last on?!?! Anything earth shattering I should go back and read, or just more of the same pissing match drivel that's been going on since Saturday?

Those are 3 of the current playoff teams with losses to teams the caliber of SCAR. And a difference between them and us is they were playing with far fewer injuries.

I hope our boys come out Saturday night motivated fully to destroy Vandy for Butch. I think we will see just how much this team is united behind Butch Saturday night.

Some Vol media sources have very vague, "Butch may be a little unhappy" quotes out there.

Everyone has now lost their minds.

I think the quotes are just floating his name a little to get a better raise, and not a genuine desire to leave.

The rest of those 9 pages is a waste of time.

Go on believing it. Doesn't make it any more true.

If Butch is thin skinned enough to make a lateral move because some fans were critical of his struggles the past two seasons, then he lacks the mental fortitude to sustain a high level of success anyway and we should go ahead and collect the $4 million towards our next coach.


Won't happen though.

Now that we have the college football playoff, only four teams can be considered to have had successful seasons, and the rest have underperformed and should be firing their coaches and looking for new ones. That's what I've learned.

I still believe you. You don't seem like a guy who would make this up.

Dabo doesn't allow commits to take visits. So it would make sense that he wouldn't announce his visit. Name tag part is odd but do they require them to sit in the recruit section? If so, he might have needed the tag to get to his seat. It's possible.

I'm on OG, Ron Swanson, et al side of this argument, but I think you hit the nail on the head with Butch is thin skinned.

The biggest difference between Butch and Saban (not the ONLY) is Nick doesn't care what anyone thinks of him. Including his wife, kids and mother.

Texas' players are all really united under Strong.


Still lost to Kansas.


Not saying we'll lose to Vandy or anything. But a team being together isn't necessarily indicative of a good coach. Teams should be together regardless.

You're right. We aren't going to the playoffs. Should have cancelled the season and fired Butch after the Bama game. Should have burnt Neyland down and knocked over his Statue too. Can somebody cut the gas line to the torch.

For effs sake people either get on board or get out!

I've said it before ~ I don't get my entertainment from making stuff up and posting it or being an insider. I posted it because I thought it was odd because of his negative recruiting of us on his last visit.

I think it was Jeff Luc, with the Hunter Johnson name tag. You know... so he can come in, incognito.
