CBJ: "I blew my knee out before Kentucky game."

The sad part is that the teams that Dooley put together would torch this team!

No, the sad part is that it's apparently internet day at the funny farm but you and DownNDirty are wasting time on a message board.

In 2011, Dooley's team scored 7 points or less 5 times including a 10-7 loss to Kentucky.... and then let's talk about the defense that Dooley put on the field a year later, shall we?

I don't know why the need for insults. I love playing with the crayons they give me a couple of times a week.

But if you want to talk about the defense Dooley put on the field in 2012 that's cool:

Yards against:

NCST - 407
GA ST - 263
Florida - 555
Akron - 344
Georgia - 560
Miss St - 449
Alabama - 539
USCe - 510
Troy - 721
Missouri - 454
Vandy - 442
Kentucky - 412

AVG: 471 YPG

2016:

App St - 292
Va Tech - 400
Ohio - 318
Florida - 402
Georgia - 392
A&M - 592
Bama - 594
USCe - 325
TN Tech - 224
Kentucky - 635
Missouri - 740

AVG: 447 YPG

In 2012 they gave up over 550 yards 3 times. This year they have given up over 550 yards 4 times. It's pretty much a neck and neck level of crap.

Our defense this year and the last two weeks in particular has been atrocious... I never said otherwise and even with the injuries; it should be better than this. It is not a "neck and neck" level of crap in the win/loss column, however. Which is what matters.

... and I was just teasing with the funny farm comment. Sorry.

It's cool I figured you were that's why I made the crayon comment. We are all UT fans so that's the most important thing man. And real fans will be here throughout how ever many coaching changes we have. I see both sides of this deal. I don't support the coach or think he can get it done long term. But I understand those that say you don't support the team if you don't support the coach. Not saying either side is right. I still love the team regardless of who the coach is because "we" will be here long after he is gone.

The level of ignorance in some of these posts is beyond ridiculous. We have people jumping the d@mn shark in nearly every post.

Dooley never had a winning record here! Do you people not have the memory capacity to recall those late-Decembers and early-Januaries in his last two years not watching UT play in a bowl game?

Butch has taken us to a better bowl game each of the last two seasons--with a potential Sugar or Citrus Bowl game this season.

Yes, this year didn't turn out exactly like we wanted it. But, let's stop the nonsense. It still could end up pretty good.

Must have hit pretty close to the mark to get the sunshine pumpers so riled up. We just got 700 yards of offense put up on us by one of the worst teams in the SEC. I didn't say that Butch was as bad as Dooley, but there are similarities even if the pumpers don't want to see. Underachieving D is right at the top of the list. To win in this league, you either have to recruit better than everybody else and develop talent better than everybody else and Butch isn't showing signs of doing either right now.

Butch Jones SEC record: 14–17

Last two years of Dooley: 1-7 and 1-7.

Butch:
2-6
3-5
5-3
4-3 with one left to play

Nice try with oversimplifying the record, but a deeper dive is necessary. Still trending in the right direction. Need to weigh the first two years less because of the dumpster fire he was recovering from.
