I definitely cannot disagree with this one. I loved watching us score 63, but I have no idea what is going on with this defense. We are wayyy worse than last year. Way worse. I am not ready to get rid of Shoop, but there needs to be some very serious re-evaluating done and if significant changes are not made, then I am afraid this is as good as it gets.

WTF happened to Ole Miss? Pre season top 10 and nowhere near the injuries we've had. Their season already in the tank when Kelly went down.

This might not be the issue, but I imagine installing a new defense would be difficult under this year's unique circumstances.

See that is where I disagree...it is not a subtle difference to me. From now on the ones who see everything through that prism, will be looking for every reason to fire him. We all know that we have to replace a ton of production next year. It will get uglier and uglier as the season goes on.

Defense dropped off after losing so many playmakers and being overly one dimensional on offense caught up with them in a bad way.

I definately had bad thoughts in the Appy State game- and I thought of 2005 when we were loaded and didn't even make a damn bowl that year. I think Mark May said we were the turkey that last week of the season for losing to Vandy at home. Did Butch really say after the game he never talked about winning the East or the players talk about it?! Then what the hell was the goal of this team then to just get a bowl? I wish Butch for once would tell the truth and be human in a press conference. Good grief the whole stadium was quiet when Florida won today. And Butch acts like oh really you don't say- we didn't even discuss it. He doesn't want to discuss it because it reflects poorly on HIM and he apparently is unable to handle criticism.

I was just about to post this. Inside, outside... wherever they want to run. We will need to hope that we can outscore them but as we are seeing this season, Vandy's defense is pretty damn good.
