Jones on the Florida-LSU game: “We never addressed it one single time.” Jones said “you never heard me talk about” the SEC East.

Butch HAS to keep the team focused on winning...that is what he is trying to do. This season still has potential to end on a really good note. This fan base is 60% idiot. If they lose next week because they come out bummed out because they didn't win the east, then THAT would be a disaster. I get what he is doing. Everybody just wants to dump on the man..I wish he would just tell all of us to "Piss off, I've still got a big job to do, and save this season" Anybody that really believes he is not disappointed, is a freakin moran.

Yea, I learned a long time ago to not care about what Butch Jones says publicly. You know he is pissed and disappointed about not winning the east.

I'd love to hear from GFW, JAllen, LWS, etc about how the players view Butch. Wonder how many will leave the program this offseason.

I posted this in his thread but let's get some positivity going in here. Butch Jones will pull this kid.

5'11" 200 lbs supposedly ran a 4.3 at UT camp in the summer. Dude is legit.

Look at the highlights from last night against Maryville. 284 yards 4 TDS

That is load of horsecrap and everybody knows it. You fahr Butch idiots just want him to admit failure so you can dump on him for that too.

I would say there are very few of us who want to "fahr" Butch, regardless of what we think of his lame coach speak.

well jrm, cam, and kamara all returned to play for him and then two of them battled back from injury to help the team even though they are all but guaranteed to get drafted. id say they like coach personally.

Ok, I overlooked the hypothetical Citrus Bowl loss. My bad on that. Was more focused on the actual championship vs. no championship then working out the records.

Still saying it's a crap argument. It may get spun that way-especially here- but my argument remains the same. I would take the SECE championship. In either premise, we have the same 9-3 record at the end of the year, and who knows, a win over Alabama could really flip the script. Yes, itd be near impossible, but you have to play the games. Also think you are using faulty logic when supposing a win in the Sugar Bowl yet chalking up a loss in the Citrus Bowl. We would likely face a much better team in the Sugar.

I'm sorry, I totally understand what you are saying, I just think it's an ineffective argument given what you've stipulated. Sure, some will spin it as better. It's BS. In both hypos, we'll be standing at 9-3 on November 27th. Give me the one where we play in Atlanta every. Single. Time.
WHOOSH

All I've been saying is that's how it would be spun. Not saying it's valid or not. Just saying that's what will he said.

Edit: also, who knows if we get the sugar bowl or not. LSU or UF could still very well scrape in ahead of us for the sugar bowl.

Players don't come back and win games as much as we did if they don't like the coach. There is one constant among Butch's teams- they play hard.

Firing Butch at this juncture is so illogical that it's fair to call that crowd idiots. Lame duck AD and chancellor, obscene buyout, and multiple marquee programs transitioning this year.

That said, I do think it's fair to hope for and expect multiple changes in staff and philosophy. If not, I'll be convinced we've reached Peak Butch.

I wouldn't be terribly sad if he left on his own. But even that would be so turbulent for us it isn't worth it.

He said worst case scenario. To me that would imply a scenario where we lost to Vandy and lost the bowl game.

Sorry. Yeah I saw that. I was picking up on his post and a few before it that were pretty negative on Butch and questioned whether he'd be fired. If we win the sugar bowl, no way he's on the hot seat.

Who knows what peak Butch is. Too be honest his trajectory feels a lot like Dabo's at Clemson.
