He will. He can be a force at end. He needs coaching more than anyone on the team. His problem is between the ears. He's too much focused on himself rather than the team. He's resisted playing tackle even though his team needs him there currently. If he will just listen to the coaches, be a team player, everything else will work itself out to his betterment. He just has to buy in.

Its not about defending Shoop. Its about Bruin giving him four games or he is out next year like he has some say so. That's the point. And it may not be acceptable to any of us but again the point is you nor Bruin has a say so if or when its time for shoop to go.

I live in Atlanta and most of my colleagues laughed when we hired Martinez. Said they would perform exactly like they do. One guy even said look for your DBs to be running back to QB with arms waving in the air on every ball down field.

Luckily we have had Cam on one side for most of his tenure.

This is correct. Not my say nor anyone else on the board. But no one will be defending with these results next year which is the point.

The point is Shoop has 100% sucked

If the defense is the same for the first third of next year he deserves to have his ass booted. End of story

I really hate this. Take some ownership.

Say that was the goal and it hurts not getting it done. Hurts that the senior class built so much but fell short.

Then say we have our sights on getting it corrected. Every year that should be the goal and you should own it if you don't make it.

He acts like we are stupid. Also, if his goal isn't to win the East, then he needs to leave.

Seems like years ago that Texas opened the season with a win in 2 OTs over #10 ND. The unranked Longhorns jumped to #11 and there was talk about how Strong and Texas were back.

Ten weeks later, ND is 4-7 and Texas is 5-6 having now lost to Kansas, who had previously only beaten one team, the Rhode Island Rams, in 25 games.

What a weird season this has been.

He doesn't like any negativity. He wants to serve chicken sh!t and tell everyone it's chicken salad. He gets mad when people question him on it. If his aspirations are to get to the NFL, he won't make it through one press conference.

If that truly is the case, we're gonna be in serious trouble going forward with him on the staff. I hope Butch lets Shoop bring in his guys next year. This is tough to watch.

Pretty terrible. For once, agree with Rucker. I think someone else posted but that should be the first goal every year at this point.

This is...disappointing. And frustrating. If the SEC East wasn't your goal, what was? Making a bowl?
