The only difference between 9-3, 8-4 or 7-5 is the bowl we get. CBJ is here another year and his future will be evaluated by the new AD next season.

I'm not justifying it. I was just saying what people will say in regards to Butch in those cases. Wasn't saying I think that is how it should be looked at. Just the narrative that will be made. IMO he would get more flack if he ended 9-5 than 10-3 even, right or wrong.

Also, I think you're the only one who doesn't remember the @$$ whooping Michigan gave UF last year in their bowl game.

Maybe so. I didn't watch the game, so it's entirely possible.

But I will tell you this, I know Mizzou won the East the two preceding years, and I have no idea what their bowl fate was. Our own fans would remember the bowl, but the SECE championship (as minor of one that it is honestly) would have much more longevity.

Dang guys. What has happened? We beat Florida and GA and still lose the east. That SC game will bother me for a long time. Second year in a row that we were the best team in the east and still let Florida win it. As long as we win out, we have still improved, even with all the injuries. 3rd bowl game in a row. That's a positive. But dang I'm disappointed

They lost the battle, but won the war. They'll be laughing all the way to ATL.

Haha. I wonder how many of their fans will show up to watch them get demolished.

Look I wanted to win the east entering today too. But....

we beat them handily.
We will finish ahead of them in the polls.
Their muschamp studs are about to be gone.
Our current trajectory is better than theirs imo

Y'all are making lemonade. I get it.

But the simple fact that we lost to a horrible South Carolina team that cost us every one of our goals.

East, SEC, and yes we would be in the playoff picture. That one game changed the opinions of most of the fans. It was unacceptable period. Don't care how many injuries, we should have blown them out.

10 wins shouldn't be dismissed because there has only been 19 seasons in 119 that we reached 10 wins. It has more to do with what SHOULD have been.

I agree. I'm so tired of saying "there's always next year"

Playing more games helps.

The team goal was to win the SECE. We failed to meet expectations against SCAR and that caused the Vols to fall short. UF's W today was out of our control. We lost the ability to control our own destiny in Columbia. So now we just finish strong and see where we end up and where we go from here.
