Love how most assume JG leaps over QD. There is always that possibility but I think its foolish to assume QD wont get the start.

Why? What the hell has he ever done?

Guarantano is more talented and was more highly touted. The likelihood he starts is a lot higher than Dormady starting.

I personally doubt Dormady ever takes a meaningful snap at Tennessee.

Crazy early 2017 two deep

Offense

QB: Guarantano, Dormady
RB: Kelly, Fils Aime/Chandler
TE: Wolf, Pope
WR: Malone, Callaway
WR: Jennings, B. Johnson
WR: Smith, L. Williams
RT: Hall, Richmond
RG: Jones, Boulware
C: Thomas, Jones
LG: Robertson, Boulware
LT: Kendrick, Tatum

Defense

NKL: Gaulden, Osborne
CB: Moseley, Martin
CB: Buchanan, Byrd
SS: Kelly, Berry
FS: Warrior, Abernathy
DT: Tuttle, Vickers
DT: McKenzie, A. Johnson
DE: Phillips, Mixon
DE: Kongbo, Taylor
MLB: Kirkland, Jumper
OLB: Sapp, A. Smith

I figured A Smith would be in the DE rotation. And whether we like it or not, it's gonna be McDowell and Berry first off the bench at LB.

The rock looks awesome today!!

I'm on vaca at the in-laws in Naples, hoping for a Gator beat down today!! Will be sporting my orange when we head out to run around here in a few!! GBO!!

Speaking of next year's D-line rotation, was there ever any confirmation on what Tuttle's injury was against SCe? I kind of checked out for a week or so after that game. Do we know if he is expected to be back for the start of next season?

two things-- You forgot Akers, and UGH, our CB's don't look so hot...

Kelly and Bituli need to shed about 10-15lbs in the offseason, someone needs to really step up and work with our DBs on actually tracking the ball and turning their heads, and hopefully Byrd/JJ get some looks on the other side of the ball and test playing both ways depending on the opponent...

Everyone should read VFL34's opinion of all of the talk about moving JJ to safety. He believes his max potential is where he is currently. I will find the quote and post it in a minute.

Here it is:

It was a hailmary play...... JJ should never be moved from reciever, his future is at reciever. People want to see him at safety, but he would not be a good safety. He is not side to side quick enough and doesn't get to top speed quick enough. His build is to skinny to support the run, and his hips aren't safety hips. I don't understand the safety talk. Yes he plays with attitude, but that doesn't translate to being a safety. On the other hand, he is a great reciever and he has a long future there.

Damn.. how many spots are open now? Over 30?

By my count with Sanders, Barnett, and Kamara leaving, we have 23 spots. We will need to "lose" at least 2 more for a full signing class. And that doesn't account for Perry returning.
