I think he will go to school. From everything I see, he is a prospect in baseball, but not a guy that will go high enough to skip school.

I have read reports that he is 100% a top 10 round pick but unlikely top5. Probably means he should go to school. I did see one baseball expert say that it was in his best interest to play baseball only because after 3 years at Auburn he very easily could be a 1st rounder and he needed to be a baseball guy year round.

This is the way I see it. We will see. Plus plus speed and good arm. If he had power he would be taken much higher

He has elite speed without a doubt but raw tools. He needs to play as much baseball as possible from what I have read.

We really don't have anybody else on radar for 2017. C.J. Lewis is probably going to be let go. He was the only other QB hope we had really.

We might end up signing a smaller/lower level QB in the end but it's not as important for 2017 as it is for 2018 & 2019.

But Hubbs alluded to some more QB targets emerging. That's why I asked.

I'm not aware of any on the radar but like I said if we allow C.J. Lewis to go which is likely we are going to be looking for another QB. Bubba is one & I would say another one will emerge later on maybe around or before NSD but it's not going to be a big name or big arm type QB.

That's going to be addressed in 2018 & 2019 with several QB's already on radar & the 4* Justin Fields emerging it appears as the Vol favorite for 2018. We have about 10 total on radar/scholarship offer for 2018 alone. I think it's 2 or 3 already for 2019. Thanks!

We also have the Urich kid who's already committed to USCe but appears to not be too happy with that decision right now. He may want out of his scholarship & if he does I'd much rather have him than Bubba. No offense to Bubba but Urich is taller & seems to be the better passer.

Also, the Hendon Hooker kid we recently offered as well is a consideration.

Is the Urich kid already enrolled at SC? If he's a recruit, I don't understand your "scholarship" comment.

My dad butchna. Bad choice of a word again. I meant "commit" & not scholarship. No, he's not enrolled. Just a solid verbal that he gave USCe back in May.

I haven't watched those two yet. If they get more serious about us I'll take a look.

"Just checked and he said he is going to come up this weekend for an unofficial visit. It will be the second one for him.

It's more realistic for sure getting him back on campus. He told me two weeks ago he wouldn't be able to make it back during the year. Certainly have to take it as a good sign in my opinion."

I would love to talk the topic.

A 2018 QB ideally isn't the starting QB until their third year in the program. This kid potentially is a first round MLB selection after his 3rd year. So I don't like the idea of taking this kid because his future is in baseball. Too much $ in baseball for a kid like this to choose football
