Teams didn't have to put up a lot of points or gain a lot of yards to beat Vandy/PSU. Those defensive ranking stats were always misleading. I got ripped to shreds on here for pointing that out back in the summer.

That doesn't mean that Shoop isn't good at what he does. It just means that the stats are misleading.

Here's a small stat for you. This D despite injuries has done enough for us to be 9-1. Turnovers is what derail this season including SC.

Anyone back for the Mizz game we did not have this week? Bain maybe? Any O linemen? Hopefully Kirkland takes it easy this week(looked a little banged up during the game, maybe the reason for the LB rotation) and Sutton keeps knocking the rust off... Only thing I worry about this week is our secondary/DBs.... they will throw a lot on us and we haven't been able to cover our own shadow yet this season back there.

Rich Rod is almost certain to be let go in Arizona. If DeBord does retire I bet that he may be an option as he and Butch supposed to be tight and of course coached together. Arizona's OC Calvin Magee could also be an option. He was the one that orginally got Butch Jones a job on Rich Rod's staff at WVa. Arizona has had great offenses till this year.

Butch: We've moved on to Missouri, it's going to be a great challenge...Drew Lock is an NFL quarterback, can make all the throws.

Butch on Mizzou OL, they've only given up 10 sacks, which is the best in the SEC.

Butch says Todd Kelly Jr. is day to day with an ankle injury. They'll see what he can do on Tuesday and go from there.

Butch says only seniors will be honored before the Mizzou game, so no Derek Barnett

Butch says Dylan Wiesman is "a little ahead" of TK in terms of likelihood of playing but also can be labeled "day to day."

So who's the 11 seniors he said they're honoring? I'm only seeing 10 seniors on the roster...

Dobbs, Wiesman, Croom, L Lewis, Vereen, Reeves Maybin, C Folger, Bynum, Sutton & Foreman

Butch on the punt return situation: "We'll compete." Up for grabs during the week. Kamara and Sutton could be factors back there again.

Hypothetical scenario:
- We win out
- Florida beats LSU
- LSU beats aTm
- Bama beats Auburn
- FSU beats Florida
- Bama destroys Florida

That means we finish 9-3 and are the only SEC team besides Bama with less than 4 losses. Good enough for Capital One bowl and possibly Sugar Bowl.

Is that a better scenario for us than LSU beating Florida and then we lose big to Bama and finish 9-4?
