President Trump's Cabinet?

They say that Republicans who opposed — or were seen as insufficiently supportive of — Trump have had their entreaties rejected by people around the president-elect, some of whom have expressed wonderment that former bitter critics are now asking for jobs, lobbying leads and even Inauguration tickets.

“My phone is ringing off the hook with people who were on the outs asking how they can get into Trump world,” said one operative who worked with Trump’s campaign. “I’m telling them there is no f---ing way they’re getting inside.”

A source close to Trump stressed that the president-elect’s team is willing to work with Republicans who backed Trump’s rivals in the GOP primary, and even those who occasionally called out Trump — but added that some crossed a line.

Trump team's revenge - POLITICO

Chris Christie go demoted from being the transition team chairman which is a good thing. Also seeing where Corey Lewandowski has resigned from CNN and is expected to get a job in the Trump administration.

I have to say Corey is a fruit cake. I think he has a severe mental issue if you watch his manorisms.

Ah, yes. So states like Mississippi and Alabama, with such wonderful education systems, can continue to be wonderful.
Yes, it's hard to tell what Tennessee Williams, William Faulkner, James Earl Jones, Oprah Winfrey, Shelby Foote, Tavis Smiley, and others could have achieved if only they weren't educated in Mississippi. The problem could be the students , not the educational systems.

Last I checked the federal department of education were the ones who set the standards. States weren't able to dictate curriculum without federal approval the same department that has been around for decades and has done nothing to fix issues. Why do you think Trump got elected? The people are tired of incompetent government bureaucrats and liberal attitudes like the one you posses. Smugness like yours led Trump to be widely popular.

He can't hear you through his smugness. You are beneath him deplorable!

Don't you know, it is never the student's fault. It's always the teacher's fault...

Be nice to see a VP who actually gets to DO something. Pence is a former governor. He knows how to run a state. Put him in his comfort zone, give him domestic stuff. Education, infrastructure, state's rights, the IRS, that sort of thing.

President Trump...go Make America Great Again. You promised. Border security, jobs, immigration reform. That sort of thing. You're a businessman. Now you're the CEO of America, Incorporated. Time for the stockholders to see a profit.

Then go global. Make sure Australia, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Great Britain, and Israel know we have their back. Leave the door open for those "fringe" nations (like France) that can't seem to make up their mind.

Germany? Honestly, what the hell were you thinking?

China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and throw a dart the the EU map. We can live with you, or without you. Your choice. Either way, we survive.

And for God's sake, get out of the Middle East. Like, completely out. Arabs have been infighting since Jesus was in Size 1 Pampers. It's never going to change. Let me repeat that in a loud voice. NEVER...GOING...TO...CHANGE.

You get that? Get out. I honestly cannot think of a good reason for one more dead American in that cesspool. So...gettemouttathere.

Hand that mess over to the Saudis. Let the Middle East do what it does best. We'll negotiate with whomever prevails. If you're worried that the Russians will fill the void, let me refer you to Afghanistan. Remember? So does Putin.

Yeah, I know...oversimplification of a very complicated situation. But here's my thing: I cannot understand why we send billions of dollars overseas before we have made sure that there are no hungry children in this nation, and no one who goes without what they need for lack of help.

Silly me, I put the village first. Hey...F22's ain't cheap.

Go Vols.

Carson as secretary of education sounds like s horrible idea. Christianity for everyone!

Did you read the wikileaks concerning the way Obama's cabinet was chosen? Citibank chose his cabinet picks based on their race, gender, and disability status.

We need the very best and the very strongest leaders to run our government. It was the furthest thing from a meritocracy as you can get.

Yet here we have an extremely smart and successful person who knows what it takes to use education to improve ones life (truly the great equalizer) but you don't want him because he's a Christian?

Tolerance of the left.

We're going to learn a lot about how sincere Trump is about being cooperative and genuine in dealing with the majority, that voted against him . I get that he's loyal, and rewards loyalty. And I get that he's big on family and their advice.

But this ain't running a mafia gang in the movies . Serious sh1t has to get done . Putting the media people in his cabinet, like Giuliani or Bannon, or his son in law, when they have no clue what they are doing, would be an unmitigated disaster for the country.

I hate to say it, but Newt for Chief of staff . Even Priebus, though that would pizz off the uber right. But f them, they largely abandoned him anyway.

Why?...the R's control the executive and legislative branch.

Maybe you should submit a list of possible Cabinet appointees for his approval.

You want it to stay that way ?

Things cannot get all balled up with grandstanding by drunks and alt right loons. If so, you'll lose the Senate and or the House in 2 years.

I wont lose anything. I dont vote for, campaign for, or contribute to any politician. I dont care what Chump does. With that said, Obama accomplished much in 2 years with the same control. Why shouldnt the new guy follow his precedent?

The Dems have 23 seats up in 2018. The senate isn't changing hands.

If he's got massive infighting within the WH, plus stalemate with Congress, he won't get anything done.

You would think that everyone would learn to stop making predictions about our orange-tinted president elect. When has anyone been correct?, His decision to run?, the primaries?, the election? ...dude has gotta the most unpredictable politician in the history of American ploitics.

He should be worried about his own party

Republicans have the WH, the House, the Senate, a conservative SCOTUS locked up, 70% of state legislatures, 70% of state governorships.

You're right.

For the next two years they get credit and blame for everything.
