Hillary: 50.08% of pop vote, 44.97% of electoral vote (228/507).
Trump: 49.91% pop vote, 55.03% electoral vote (279/507).

A tight race, popular vote-wise. This seems to be a good system. The progressives will surely want to end it.

A friend of the family whom ALWAYS votes Democrat no matter what, actually voted for Trump. She was a Bernie supporter and thought Hillary and the DNC stole/rigged the primaries and actually refused to vote for her. Was this the mindset of many Bernie supporters? She did say she was worried no matter whom won, but I thought it was very telling, coming from a STAUNCH life-long Democrat.

Where are you getting your numbers from the New York Times? I ask because I'm on their site and from what I see that they have posted it's:

59,679,969 votes (47.7%) vs 59,479,128 votes (47.5%)

The Electoral College is how we elect the POTUS so his election is valid. More Americans did vote against him than for him. It is outdated but it is what it is.

I may have said this before and if I did just disregard...it's been a long day.

Hillary relied way to much on the minority vote, specifically the black vote. She automatically assumed the black community would come out to support her like they did Obama....there was NO WAY!!!! When Obama won, over 60% of registered black voters voted. I bet she got less than half of that total number.

TADA!!! She had 5 Million less votes this year than Obama in 2012. She only has herself to blame, she assumed way to much and it bit her in the a$$. Why in the hell would she not even visit Wisconsin??? At least put forth some effort in that state...It's Al Gore all over again

Whites - 62.6 %
Hispanics - 17 %
Blacks - 13.2 %

Nobody is getting voted in without the majority of the overall white vote..so we are damned if we do and damned if we don't.

Tired of all this racial BS.
