USC loss happens to everyone. Ask Saban about Ole Miss 2 years in a row. Ask ATM about Miss st. I honestly think Butch will do what it takes to succeed at UT.

Ole Miss had more talent and plays aggressive. They don't even come close to the level of stank that the USCjr loss has.

MSU beating the Aggies is a little closer. But pointing to other teams losses doesn't make it okay that Butch couldn't prepare his team to play coming off a bye week and a beatdown.

I honestly think Butch has no idea how to succeed where there are actual expectations. He's used to people kissing his co-co-co championship rings from the mighty Big East.

Stank. I agree on that one. We stank at a high level, but he could have an SEC east ring to kiss at the end of this year. That is at least a little better than Big East co co co.
Not much, but UTs' first in a few years. And I haven't crowned the VOLS east champs yet, but it's a good possibility.

This.....financially I'm not sure we can make a change yet but to pretend that hiring a PROVEN head football coach that has won at an elite level wouldn't likely be an upgrade is lunacy. Now I have no idea if we could attract a superstar coach but lions typically aren't concerned with the opinions of sheep from my experience and bat **** crazy Michigan fans didn't seem to keep Harbaugh or his staff from wanting the job or Saban to Bama(they poison trees for God sakes).....

To your point of recruiting we are going thru something similar now with my boy... and on visits we always ask ourselves "will this coach be here in 4 years"... if I'm a blue chip 5* prospect and I see us constantly lose to better teams and often lose to worse teams it would be hard for me to believe this coach was some superstar just waiting to break out. And at least for our family that would go a lot further than what some hillbilly says on a message forum.

Butch needs to beat a high school quarterback and then he might feel more appreciated. At his salary, it's a joke that a coach would have his feelings hurt when his results don't match his own expectations.

Harbaugh isn't coaching in the SEC. Bama would be 3 td favorites over Mich. at this moment and Mich. hasn't met the buckeyes yet. NATTY going to best defensive team.. Bama or Clemson. Jim H. brought in 9-10 NFL coaches and yeah they can get their 10 wins a year but they paid out the yang-yang for it and as far as super-star coaches, good luck finding one. Most coaches are backing off the intensity and starting to relax more to combat stress and relating that to players and instead of expanding the playbook they are whittling it down finding that players execute better. I really can't see using the term super-star with a coach. Elite is the latest adjective and it's getting old.

You can't break continuity in the mid-season. Kiffin was the right move. Fulmer was stale and conservative. Kiffin was fresh and aggressive. Fulmer stopped recruiting. Kiffin brought a super team of recruiters.

Kiffin was/is an idiot. That killed that.

Anyone that that Dooley would work deserves the punishment that we as fans have had to stomach. Losing record at a garbage school. No clue how to run a top notch program.

He's made two hires in 4 yrs. Shoop is the defense man. The OC has put CBJ on the spot and so has the Oline. Defensive backs that don't know how to play man should not be put in man coverage but if Shoop wants to scheme we need a DB coach. We need a QB coach.IF OUR HC WANTS TO WAVER ON WHAT THE PUBLIC KNOWS it's on him. How simple is that ? He get's 4 mil to fiqure this shat out and if he can't...bye! Now you fans are a different story...get off the coach's azz. A sick place to be and i'm gonna keep saying it...negativity has it's root from a dark place..I wouldn't honor it but see the good in playing for and being part of THE BIG ORANGE.

I would like an elite coach. There are only a few of them in America. If we can't get elite we could get top shelf/boarderline elite with more wins. Or we could get coaches that can compete for the SEC every 4-5 years and be in the playoff race every 7 or 8 at least. But right now we have an elite cliche spewing moron that trips over his own flute more often than anyone would like to see that is WINLESS against Muschamp and gave Derek friggin Dooley his signature win at Tennessee.
