The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

Anybody know anything about cz 52's?

Fairly bulletproof design. Finding cheap ammo isn't as easy as it used to be, save the fact the surplus is mildly corrosive.

It's a hefty pistol for the size cartridge it fires. It's got a fairly high bore axis which means recoil is felt a little more. I prefer the TT-33 models myself, but it's a neat pistol for poking holes in cans and paper at the range. Not something I'd seriously consider for defensive work though mainly due to the overpowering of the 7.62x25mm cartridge and lack of defensive based rounds.

But if you're looking for a cheap (in cost) pistol that goes bang, it's not a bad deal.

I think my initial interview was March 29

It's taken 7 months???

Is that a Tennessee law thing or what?

Took a day course (8 hours) here in Missouri. Only hold up was the sheer number of licenses the Sheriffs Office had to register and issue.

My final CCW class last night. Everything has been submitted to my local sheriff. Only thing lacking is show up to final interview, pay fee and obtain license

Starting my next build. .308 on AR platform. Lowers are becoming scarce but found a set from aero reasonably priced.

I'm looking at either purchasing a 7mm-08 or a 308, both are remington. Any suggestions? The 7mm-08 has a bull barrel. I plan on using it for deer hunting and there the same price.

Out to 200 yds or so the 7mm08 shoots flatter with less recoil, but Ammo is expensive and .308 has a larger variety, it would definitely come down to not having a 7mm08 to me, I have a Remington 700 in .308 so for me I wouldn't mind owning the 7mm08 for some added variety in the gun safe.

Both great calibers and the bull barrel is more attracting.

My wife has oked the purchase of more guns. She's going full prepper.

My wife is on the right track as well! Got her handgun permit and bought her a sig p238 now she wants more guns, currently looking for her a 9mm pistol now, got her an AR and she wants a bow for Christmas .

Does anyone listen to or watch Student of The Gun?
I listened to the podcast for a while and watched some of SOTG episodes, Paul Merkel is getting annoying for me and leaves out a lot of details and his philosophical rants are tiring, I just want better advice on drawing, gear, situational awareness and high stress tips .

He's gotten political and says" if you came here for advice then you're wrong, go watch the videos "

I really like the Concealed Carry Podcast with Jacob Paulsen and Riley Bowman, they both have great knowledge and experience, they have competitive shooters on every now and then that give tips and advice.

What's you thoughts VN?

I think a lot of gun owners are nervous, rightfully so, given our current political climate. Probably will settle down a little after the election. Maybe.
