Yup, team will need scoring options and an outside threat, if Bowden can be a consistent 40%+ perimeter shooter he's almost certain to see 10+mpg. Gotta think it would come at the expense of guys like Mostella/Phillips.

Phillips shot the 3 at .368 last season. Second on team over 50 shots taken.

Believe Barnes said he wants him to take more shots this season.
i guess 40+ could unseat him but how many freshman achieve that?

Yup. I think he shot like 30% from 3.
If we're going by HS percentages the walk on fleschman shot it at 45%. Doubt he sees the floor except in mop up if there is such a thing this year.

Just to build off this, heard Mostella didn't play much in the scrimmage, hasn't shown the buy in defensively Barnes' is requiring from guys. 2 guys who appear likely to get more minutes than I've given credit for lately would be Bowden and Fulkerson.

Bone/Parker
Turner/Phillips
Hubbs/Bowden
Schofield/Evans/Fulkerson
Alexander/Williams

Was pretty much the rotation and lineup from the scrimmage it sounds like, Mostella needs to buy in defensively of is gonna find himself as odd man out. I think Parker is nexg likeliest of that group if it's trimmed to 10, Turner would slide to the 1 when Bone needs a breather.

FWIW, I was told Fulkerson looked really good. Could start at some point this year. Maybe not right out the gate, but that he has developed quickly, and really fits the mold Barnes is looking for.

Guys that don't bring it on defense won't see the floor this season.
Mostella has never looked interested in that side of his game.
Blue font or no it is a definite possibility.

I doubt anybody lol. One would think a scrimmage would be the best way to gauge if Bone can handle the starting PG role. Wouldn't matter if he played poorly due to it being a scrimmage. Maybe Phillips has just really impressed in camp.

Also strange that Turner won't start since they said last year he would have if he had been eligible.

I said Shembari certainly could be a starter. I did not have Evans starting though. Can't believe Schofield isn't starting but maybe he agreed to coming off the bench.

With this many new players I don't think starting lineup means much. I would wager Turner will get a bunch of minutes.
When Barnes said that about Turner he was talking about last years team.
