So what if he was? The kid was rushing for a thousand a year. Butch should try to keep him on the roster and then hope that winning and success would keep him happy until he went pro in January.

What in the world do you all want him to do? Tell our 5* leading rusher that we aren't going to let him call the shots and he needs to hit the bricks? That would have went over with the fanbase like a turd in a punchbowl.

Hurd being a quitter is on Hurd and no one else.

After we win out against the dregs of our schedule, everyone can claim Hurd was the problem all along and 2017 gonna be different.

Well now that Hurd is gone, I fully expect 74 to show up and "enlighten" us on all kinds of stuff behind the scenes. He/she/it has stirred up sh*$ for well over a year now; I fully do not expect it to end now.

Seriously? What else is he supposed to say? Everyone wants to talk about him losing the team, what do you think would happen if he went up there and said this season is over and the rest of the season doesn't matter?

Listen, I'm mad just as much as the next guy but I'm gonna give him a chance to hire a better offensive staff before I give up.

With Jalen, I don't blame Butch that much. Jalen has a few games left and is transferring and changing positions going into a senior year with aspirations for the nfl. This is harsh but either the kid is a moron or is led by morons or both.

Wow. Maybe we should give him a medal for him running hard while he was playing the position of running back.

Maybe if he put that much effort into being a team guy he would have been on the sideline in College Station or he would have helped his team in the second half in Columbia and we'd be on our way to 11-1 instead of 9-3.

I'm not asking him to call the rest of the season off. I want him to own his stubbornness and his faults. Own the fact that he is the HC and that this loss is on him first and foremost because HE has the ability to pull kids out of games and plug in someone else when a player is acting childish or not playing the way he needs to be playing. Own the fact that he is too stubborn to change anything on offense by creating mismatches and stop doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.....

It's indicative of the culture of Tennessee athletics right now.

10-3 (if it happens) with a third straight bowl win, wins over UF and UGA, and a top 20 post-season ranking means a "healthy" football program. That's good enough for TPTB.

Look at the Rick Barnes hire. Hart hired him because he's a guy who could potentially get us to the dance every year, but there's nothing in his resume that indicates he will ever win anything of substance.

Right now leadership is okay with just being competitive in all sports. There's no push to win championships at Tennessee.

Hurd might look to transfer to UCLA or Cal since dad lives in Los Angeles area and is a trainer. Hurd also friends with Cal's Vic Wharton

I appreciate the guy trying to ask another question about Hurd. Butch shut him down, but I still appreciate it. Tired of the media going easy on him. Would like to hear some offensive play-calling questions.
